Nice find. I've had my eye on this camera for the longest time. I used to own the 6i model at one time.
Tristatecamera still shows for the same kit for $199.
Have you seen the 60-180 IX lens a good price too? This extra lens would make it (LAVA HOT!) worth to buy this great APS setup.

Thanks

Yeah it's a great cam! I own one and it takes sharp pictures, but the 30-60 lens doesn't give much flexibilty. I got mine from Ritz Camera when they were closing it out for $150.

An excellent price on a very nice camera. Only bad thing is that there is no where to attach and outboard flash so yours stuck with the built in one. I had a Pronea 6i which was a great camera that i got in the same way when they were closing them out. Get the warranty on it....i ended up dropping mine while I was in France and they were unable to repair it and did not have a replacement to give me. Saved me some serious $$$ when it came time to get a new one.

This is a really nice camera, very good deal!

Please post any related deals in this thread for accessories for this camera, particularly the 60-180 IX lens Thanks!

It uses APS film, a bit more expensive, but it's nice to be able to change rolls in the middle (like when you let your trusted wife/gf borrow it for her own purposes).

Thanks for pointing it out! As you can judge, I am no camera expert

APS film is rather expensive though. But I agree that it's pretty useful you can change the film halfway taking through a film. This is probably best seen when u're a more "neat" person, one film - night shots, potraits etc etc

Locally, I've found Target to have the cheapest Kodak APS film... $8.49 for a 3 pack of 25 exp. 200 film.

This seems like a great deal.

I have a question for you camera buffs out there.
My friend seems to think they are going to do away with the APS films and it would be a waste of money. Do you think this is a possibility?

I just wonder how common APS will be five years from now. Digital should be kick-*ss for relatively cheap by then.

Does that mean you can plug the same film back in another camera or the same camera and continue on the unfinished film?

We bought one of these when they first came out. We paid dearly for it, but we insisted on SLR and APS.
I wanted SLR, my wife NEEDED the simplicity of APS.
The camera is great.
We use just about any Nikkor (Nikon) AF lens with it.
I would have loved to have paid $99 for it....

Dead now.

1. APS is has the limitations above... and it's a much less resolution than 35mm. If you have a shot you want an 8x10 of APS sucketh.
2. Those panoramic prints seem cool, you can do/order the same thing in 35mm, the APS just crops the shot. meaning it blows up a even smaller piece of negative big.

Since your true costs in photography are time, processing and film , this wasn't that hot, because of the format.

Well...some people's true cost are time, processing, film, AND A $529 CAMERA! Being able to get it for $99 makes this deal hot.

would this be good for a first time serious camera? Some of the stuff being said about teh aps film is scaring me some. I know I will be a noob to start but I do plan on taking some nice pics and maybe blowing up some nature/concert/whatever shots. Thx

now i notice the price change. If there somehow there is a chance of still getting it for 99, should I buy the battery add on or shop around radio shack?

Humm...shows $99 still for me and in stock. Is this worth getting into? I'm not a serious photographer (actually not a photographer at all), but would be cool to have a nice camera. The pics turn out nice?

Can you get the film developed at any one hour photo place? Or do you have to take it somewhere special?

This better than those disposible Kodaks you see?
