This offer is valid for customer name on sales receipt only.

The two CC's near me don't match Sam's.
Doesn't CC's rebate policy negate rebate submissions when a PM is involved?

Why did you not ring it up in 3 different receipts/transaction #, one for each drive?Originally posted by: gabemcg

Did this deal early last year 2004, surprised that it is still ongoing. PM with Sams that was next door to a CC. Ended up paying about $25 for a WD 160GB HDD.

The rebates are could be tied up with the transaction#. When they do the rebate the second time/third time they will know that a rebate has been filled with that transaction#, even if a different name/address was submitted. They will see that you bought 3 drives, not one. Good luck in getting the 2nd/3rd rebate from manufactured and CC.

I promised an update, so here it is:
I went in (alone) and grabbed 3 off the shelf
went to the customer service area to pay
asked politely for a price match
clerk said "hang on a sec..." as she went into the office
she came back and said, "we don't price match with Sam's club..."
I said, "well, actually you do..."
handed her the e-mail and explained it
she gave it to the GM who read it, and said, "this person gave you wrong information, we don't PM Sams because you have to be a member there..
..but, we'll do it for you this time!
"thank you very much", I said (OMFGSCORE!! I thought)
She rang them all up at the Sams club price ($79.84)
She asked me if there were any rebates, and I said I wasn't sure, and played it off like was suggested

its a nogo at the CC in Tustin Ca. They said that they didnt PM Sams club.... I showed them the email and they said that they would PM, but only on the price difference AFTER the rebates, whick means they would ADD money to make it even.
I am calling the District Manager this AM to file a complaint about this a$$.
I hate it when companies wont follow their own policies, lord knows they would be pointing to it over and over if YOU were tring to argue it.

they were already giving me sh!t about the PM... I figured it's better not to push my luck.
a creative use of photoshop on a scanned image of the recipt may do the trick tho (and subsequently constitute fraud...which is why I would never do that...
