so a guy at my work was booked on "solitation of a minor over the internet"
so en route to meet said minor he was arrested. this is what i know for sure
he was sentenced today to one year in jail

my question is this, is meeting a minor over the internet illeagal? or did he have some alterior motive that he made clear to the minor prior to agreed meeting?
and thats what was illegal?

meeting is not illegal. Soliciting means gettting them to do something.
