Lays Kettle Cooked Jalapeno chips

Ok, I love these chips but man they give me serious gas the next day. I crack open a bag and stuff my face in the evening when I'm home from work, the next morning when I'm at work, I get serious gas build up. Hitting the john, I release some pretty epic wet farts. Anyone else experience the same issue with these chips?

I generally avoid Frito Lay products, but I don't remember having issues with jalapeño chips from other makers.

I love Halapeno Chips. So fucking delicious. Even if, in my opinion, they are more garlicy than anything.

That said, my butthole is usually fine afterwards.

My girlfriend said she feels fine the next day also...she could be lying as I assume most girls don't like talking about their gastro-intestinal issues. That's why I'm trying to gauge and see if anyone else experience the same issues as I do.

1. Them bitches always be lying.
2. I take a glass full of fiber daily and it does wonders for my GI tract. Wings used to kill me but now I can take it like a champ.

They are delicious though.

Miss Vick's has by far the best ones out there. The sad thing is like 4 or 5 years ago they were even freaking better. They kinda wussed them down a bit and changed the formula a bit.
I'd give anything for a case of the old formula ones.

The jalepano variety is a rare find around here. There was another one I liked more, but it looks like it was phased out. Oh well. I don't eat chips often anymore anyway.

I use to eat an entire bag in a single sitting and never had any stomach or #2 problems ever. I'd say I ate a whole bag over the course of 1 evening about 50 times. I only bought the Lay's if there were on sale though. I prefer the Poore Brothers, the Habaneros ones are my favorite.

If anyone likes Lay's Jalapeno, you will LOVE Tim's Cascade Jalapeno. Tim's has always cooked their chips kettle style, and long before any of the national brands caught on to it. Not sure how widely Tim's is distributed outside of the Northwest however.

Never have had the OP's next day problems with either Lay's or Tim's Jalapeno chips. Now I am craving some!

At least once a week I end up getting a bag when buying lunch at a deli near where I work

After eating them 2 or 3 times I still enjoy them, but am not that amazed anymore


Oh, and I've never had any gas problems from them

edit: I just did a double take - I think the ones I've been getting are actually made by Herr's

Yeah, they are delicious, every time I'm eating it, I know I'm going to regret it the next day, especially if it's a work day. Which I do, because when I'm at work having to excuse myself several times, I'm sitting there thinking "why dammit, why did I do it, I knew exactly what was going to happen!"

Doritos used to make those Doritos 3D's a while back. They had a jalapeno version of those that would guarrantee fire hole and lots of farts for me. My girlfriend wouldn't let me eat them when she was around because of it.

Ive never had gas problems with any kettle potato chips. kettle brand is my favorite. i eat like a bag a week. guilty pleasure of mine

The gas may not be from the chips, just the "flavor".

You may want to see what else you usually eat on days when you crave a bag of chips.

I have found that sometimes it is not the individual items that cause volume or....intensity, but rather a 1-2 by mixing things like Broccoli with Black Bean Chili sauce........ (BTW, the stuff tastes great, especially with some garlic, but forget about making any friends in the next 12 hours or so...)

i like the poore brother's habanero. the lay's jalapeno are good, but not spicy enough.

i had cracked open a bag and was eating chips, and offered the bag to a visiting friend. she ate one not realizing what they were, and quickly rushed for a glass of milk.
