I've been looking around now for the past 2 weeks or so and am wanting to buy a new 19 or 20" LCD monitor. I will be recieving an SLI system sometime in early January so i must have a new monitor by then. I was looking at the Viewsonic VP201b (20") and the Viewsonic VP912b (19").
Now i will mostly use this montor for gaming. the vp201b native resolution is 1600x1200 and the vp912b native resolution is 1280x1024. on this spec (or others) what would be best? I'm assuming that if i would get the vp201b i would need to run games at 1600x1200 and if i bought the vp912b would have to run them at 1280x1024.
Since I will be using a brand new SLI system with this monitor, I don't think the system is an issue. I guess what it boils down to is which will be better for gaming? I was leaning towards the 20", mainly because its bigger. I'm running a 20" CRT right now, but need to upgrade since this CRT isnt DVI and the new SLI system would be crappy running analog
