I'm in the market for an LCD, on which there will be no gaming, but instead mainly for visual work (graphic design) and general purpose usage.
My research has let me to the conclusion that have to get a S-IPS or PVA screen to get 24 bit color. Now that's fine by me. Thing is that I can't for the life of me find out which technology a particular LCD uses. I have my eye on three displays right now:
+ LG1730P
+ Sony HS75PB
+ Samsung 173P
Of these three I only know that the Samsung is a PVA display and that's based on the logical conclusion that since it's bigger brother 193P is a PVA, that must mean it is too. I wouldn't be surprised if after all it turns out it is a 6 bit TN+film instead.
Anyone know of a website with comprehensive specs for the LCD monitors out there? Thanks!
