I'm looking into LCD projectors for a non-profit group I do some work for. It's a medical organization, so basically we're talking about lots of powerpoint presentations, various kinds of medical images and videos. Looking to spend not more than $4000 I would say.
I don't have too much experience with projectors, but I've managed to latch on to a couple of ideas. It would seem XVGA resolution will be a much better performer than SVGA and that about 1000 ANSI lumens or brighter is a good for presentations with the lights on. That's about all I've come up with and of course there seem to be many, many choices out there and they all seem similar. My questions are: Is there anything else I should take into careful account before deciding on a projector? Any specific recommendations for projectors that have worked well for someone? Any advice appreciated.
