I'm getting close to making the switch from CRT to LCD. The main reason being the need to relieve my eyes from the typical strain that CRT's produce over time... I think going LCD is a change they'll appreciate. My current monitor is 17", and ive read that LCD's are measured by actual viewing size, so a 17" would effectively be larger than a 17" CRT, which is nice... I'm not opposed to going to 19" either, but im not sure if the added expense is going to be worth it.
I'll be using the new monitor primarily for "everyday" type of tasks like internet, school, movies and gaming, with even distribution among each. Good gaming performance, though, is something id want.
Which makes and models should i be looking at? My budget is around $500 CDN, the more future proof the make/model the better.
Thanks for any help.
