LCD with 2 stuck pixels OR CRT ???

I bought the 19" Planar LCD and its really nice, but it has 2 stuck pixels. The stuck pixels are about 1.5 inch from the bottom. This monitor was sent to me after I replaced a monitor with 7 bad pixels.

The options I have now are 2:
1) Send the monitor back and get a refund and pay 15% restocking fee (about $140), and buy a good 22" CRT
2)Keep the monitor hoping that I will get used to the bad pixels after a while and they will not bother me as much (the monitor is excellent otherwise)

I can not replace it again, so those are the only 2 options ... I really can't decide !!!

You will eventually get used to the stuck pixels. Plus there is always the chance of the pixels becoming unstuck. Paying a $140 restocking fee is ridiculus in my opinion. It would be a waste of $140.

Totally agree with minendo,

If after awhile you are still not satisfied, bring it to the boards.

Every TFT panel manufacturer has precise specifications about what number, kind, clustering and position of bad pixels is still acceptable. The larger the panels get, the lower the probability to get a 100 percent one. This is perfectly normal - whether that's acceptable to you is another question.

The other thing is that even many times when people think that they have a 100% good panel, they actually don't. If you run a monitor test program that displays a completely white background followed by a completely black background you will almost certainly be able to find a few tiny "dots" that are actually bad pixels.

The funny thing is that you will probably never notice them in normal use.

In my case i don't need to search hard to find them. If the background is black or dark they show. Now I type here I can't see anything because the background is light, but when i go to a site with black background they are visible.

Still, I might keep it. I put this LCD site by site with my old Samsung 950p. In my eyes, the text on the samsung looked better, but the LCD was much brighter and nicer to look at in general.
