We've got a Unix/Java based system at work for image reviewing, which uses it's own internal database for user accounts.
We do have an Active Directory set up here, and the Unix/Java application has an option in the User Manager for connecting to an external LDAP server. The company who provided this have, despite lots of asking - almost every week for the last 4 months, not yet given us any information on what details we may need to put in, so that it will use our AD for user authentication, and I'm not very well versed in LDAP, and searching on these names has not proved very fruitful, as I think they've not used standard names for parameters!
Here are some screenshots of the settings pages - it's a standard Windows 2003 Server Active Directory setup.

(Drop-down options for "Search user DN on" are:
One level below the Base DN
Whole subtree starting with Base DN)
Screen 5
"Select LDAP query type" options:
No Paging
Paged Query
Virtual List View Query
Select LDAP error code type options:
Standard LDAP Error Codes Only
Active Directory Error Codes Only
User Defined Error Codes (which un-greys the options at the bottom)
Any help you can provide is going to be greatly appreciated!
