leadtek 6600GT problem

I have a brand new system build that has a Leadtek 6600GT in it. Mobo is a Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI. I really only use this particular system to play games, meaning WoW of late. A few weeks ago I started getting horrible pixelation problems. I have since completely reformatted the HDD and started all over, have the latest Leadtek drivers, etc. Still no resolution. The only other thing is that I have a Arctic Cooling NV6 on it, but I remounted the heatsink and applied new goop, so I don't know what else to do there.

I have two questions:

1.) Is there anyway with a diagnostic program to test the video card?

2.) I have read that BFG has great customer support, and I have been thinking about getting another 6600GT to run in SLI mode anyway. Can I run a BFG and Leadtek in SLI together?

Did you completely remove the old "goop" from the CPU and then re-apply a "thin" coat ?
Too much will adversely affect cooling. Maybe you are having heat related issues. Are you overclocking the 6600? If so, turn it down.
What are your temps on vid card? idle, and under load? I use RIVA-Tuner to monitor "real time" logs when I am playing games.
I am running an AGP card, I cannot answr you SLI question.

Becuase the GPU is so small, I probably did squeeze out too much goop, I'll scrape and redo (I actually put the old heatsink back on it but didn't solve the problem).

Someone else mentioned that it sounds like a heat problem as well. The only thing that I can say is that the pixelation happens 100% of the time, and will happen after turning on the computer cold, and immediately upon starting the game. Also, the temps reported by the display settings are well in the green range, something like 40 degrees or so.

GPU is not OC'd, don't even know how to do it. Is there a way to underclock?

I guess I'll try to find a video benchmarking program and put the card through its paces to find out if I can duplicate the pixelation on another program...

Leadtek's reply to my e-mail asking for help was almost laughable.
