Guys, I got one when the price was $240 with B PCB version. It under performed at HL2 and failed 3D marks so I sent it back to Newegg and got full credit back. Then I saw the price dropped to $210 and thought it would hurt to try my luck again. Both came with retail packages. This time I got a A PCB version which booted with everything in blue, even in Bios.>_< Well! I RMA it to Leadtek, and it should be back next week. If I got a new one that works, superb! If got another bad one, I guess I'd send it back to newegg and never buy from leadtek. Seriously, I am guessing that there could be quality issues with this patch of 6800GT (as suggested in newegg's review), which is why they are sold as OEM or refurbished at a much lower price. And Newegg no longer provides the original 6800GT for $299, which also sugguest that Newegg was informed the patch are defective or simply couldn't pass QC, and may come with following potential problems (lose $$ on return plus reputation screwed) if keeps selling them. I am not trying to screw Leadtek on reputation or at such intention. I would still do business with them if they continue to provide great products and if they make things right. We'll see how the RMA goes then!^^

There are few problems in this model, so make sure the power supply cable which is connected with the card will not share connection with any other component, thats what i have been told by Leadtek Rep. So make sure single cable for your card from powersupply.

I just bought two refurbed Aopen 6200s from Newegg. Both of them came in a plain white box in very beat up anti static looking bags. Neither one of them worked.

Sorry to hear those of you grabbing the 6800GT and it not working.

LOL, so is mine - in the very machine I'm typing this on. It's an Asus GF4 Ti4200 that I got as a Newegg Refurb. Put a Zalman heatpipe cooler on it and it's been running passive for years. Sadly, installed BF2 demo and it wouldn't run.

mine comes in on monday... the suspense is killing me.

any new updates on doa's or working cards ?

that's bizarre that the product isn't even listed anymore- usually they have the auto-notify for back in stock button where the add-to-cart button goes, no?

The "auto notify" is for regular stock. Refurb stuff disappears when gone.

2 working here. One bag was retaped, both look new. One makes it to 400/1100 so far, the other doesnt. Both came in retail box with games and cables. Got a different Prince of Persia in each box (sands of time/warrior within). Someone must have been napping on the job.

here's what I reported on FW:

the one I got seemed to work OK but it was the 6800GT "lite" version. The memory was clocked at 900 instead of 1000 - worse, the memory seemed to be running at it's limit as I could not manually raise it more than 20-30mhz. Doing a search, it appears that last year a bunch of these "lite" cards were sent out in the regular packages resulting in a bunch of returns. Guess where these returns ended up? I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of this batch are the "lite" version.

This "lite" version, for the price, is not necessarily a bad deal. If you're not an overclocker, the performance hit is probably minor in actual gameplay.

That was quick, the DVI port died on one of the cards. Now its one good and one bad.

Uninstalling the nvidia drivers absolutely raped my system. Upon restarting after uninstalling them, I got a blue screen during when xp boots. I was finally able to boot windows by using the "Last good configuration" option. However, once in windows, I couldn't reinstall either my ATI drivers or my nForce drivers..which left my system pretty useless.

I backed up some stuff (thank god) and formatted. Now, after getting through the first part of the installation for windows (where it restarts your computer) it wont boot up the actual installation of windows.

I don't know what to do, and i'm pretty fricking disappointed in all of this. I've heard people complain about ATI's drivers but I've never had ANYTHING happen like this with theirs.

Add me to the working column. At least so far...

I received a retail box with all cables and games included. The box was a little beat up and it appears as though thes box was returned at some point. The card was clean and shows no sign of wear. The AGP connector did not show any scratches from being inserted and pulled back out numerous times. The heatsink was clean.

I've had it looping various demos like 3DMark2001, 3DMark05, and Aquamark3.

The GPU was clocked at 350 and the memory at 1000. Running the "Detect Optimal Frequencies" sets the GPU to 418 and the memory to 1150. That froze the system after a loop of 3DMark05. I backed it down to 400 and 1100 and have been stable. This is for both 2D and 3D settings.

I'm only using VGA port, as i don't have a DVI compatible monitor. I'll probably hook up the DVI to VGA adaptor and make sure that port works.

So far, so good.

Put me in the non working column.
I got the retail box with all of the accessories. But, once I install the card all I see is garbage on the screen.

Quoted from http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/CategoryList.asp?Type=Refurbished
Newegg.com does not test any product, including Refurbished items. Refurbished components are therefore only tested by the original manufacturer. Due to the varying quality of manufacturer testing, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK BUYING REFURBISHED PRODUCTS.

To be honest, as far as the DOA cards go, its not up to newegg since they do send all bad hardware to the OEM. They just get them back from the OEM and sell them as refurbs. Therefore, if something DOA comes to you, you probably want to blame the OEM but even then, I'm sure newegg will work with you. I've never been turned down for anything. Just be sure you call before your 15 days are up(refurb warranty). They have the best customer service I've ever ran into thus far. (No, I wasn't paid under the table to say this. I'm being honest. Afterall, how many times do you hear complaints vs. compliments about ANY company?)

Got mine yesterday, was DOA. Powered on, but no video signal. Tried two different PSUs, same deal. I'll try putting it in a different system tonight, then back to Newegg for a refund it goes.
