HELP!

i was interested in purchasing this tv tuner just so that i would be able to play my playstation on it. however, from looking at pictures of the card, it doesn't appear to have RCA inputs. does anyone know how one would be able to get a playstation to work on it?

I got mine last night and haven't had time to install it yet but it includes an adaptor cable that allows you to connect an RCA video cable (what they call "composite", I believe) to the SVideo connection on the card. At least, that's what I think that cable is for. HTH.

For those that bought this card: Have you recorded a TV show yet? If so, can you burn it to a CD and play it in your stand alone dvd player? Does it fill the TV screen(21")? Is it TV-quality?

They raised the price to $62.

Definitely, just use composite (yellow) in or S-video in if your vcr supports it.

My VCR or Video camera ( have a SHARP 8mm) don't have S Video but have video out. Is it possible to convert tapes from my 8mm video camera to VCDs and if yes how?

Are you running that under WinXP? I had one a while back and they said they had no intentions of supporting XP. I'll say though, that I didn't care for the WinTV software. I'll let you know if the Leadtek is better IMO.

Oh, and that "D" card is still one of the only digital tv tuners on the market. The Leadtek doesn't do DTV.

Hi all,

It's (temporarily?) OOS right now - est. is 1/6 for more on newegg's site. In the meantime, I'm trying to decide if this is the card for me.

I would like to transfer video out of my 8mm camcorder (Svideo out) and burn on to SVCD (and eventually onto DVD) for archiving. What kind of capture quality can I expect from a card like this? The video is my "album" of my son, from birth to age three, so I want the quality to be as high as I can get - does this mean that I will have to get a hardware encoding capture card? Or can I use this card and some sort of "max quality" settings? I have an XP1800+, so it should be able to handle a fair amount of processing. My ideal world scenario: being able to put a SVCD or DVD into my DVD player and getting video as good as what was on the original 8mm tape.

The tweaked driver is 5.13.0

I think you should stick with the newest leadtek one.
