Humm...
I've got an Audigy (bought oem) soundcard, and then chaintech gf4200 video card.
Are necessary adapters available at radioshack or somewhere cheaper?

Will this card work with DirecTV? I've heard the remote will not work with a satellite system.
Thanks,

This is a great value card, however, I think the Asus TV880 is the best card under $100. More features, newer 10bit encoder/decoder, larger software suite, and more inputs.

Where can I find about the Asus TV880? I did a google search and nothing showed up. Nothing on the Asus site. I did find the TV-in-a-box, but it doesn't look like a grpahics card.
I would like a PCI card(My motherboard does not have an AGP slot) to record TV shows. This Leadtek card looks nice, but would like to compare to others.
Also if I copy a 2 hour VCR tape to my HD to burn to a CD, does it take 2 hours? If so, can I use my computer in the mean time, or is it best to find something else to do? Is it really easy to do?
Thanks corinthos for the deal.
You don't need any adapters for video-in unless you want to hook up multiple gaming consoles to the system at one time. Then you would want to look into a console switch which would let you externally select the video feed via the switch. The card comes with an S-video-in and RCA-in(yellow composite video) adapter
WinXP Media Center Edition will not be sold retail. Where will you get your copy?Originally posted by: ckportland
I will buy this in a heartbeat IF IT SUPPORTS WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER EDITION
Does it? Does anyone know?

Asus TV 880 TV tuner $85 shipped at Newegg
There was an extensive review of this card at Overclockers.com/au, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I've been using it for about a month now and it is excellent, much better than any of the value cards in the past. I was considering the Leadtek XP2000, but from reviews, I read it was basically the same cards from Pinnacle/WinTV/ATi based on CX878 with a few more features and better WinXP/Win2K drivers. I had some bad experiences, so I didn't leave anything to chance and went with the newest card for under $100.
The software is all Cyberlink, top-notch stuff including the latest version of PowerDVD 4.0 (rebadged as AsusDVD). I purchased this card based on the OC.com australia review as well as JeSpre's original review found here on AT:
TV 880 ATer Mini-Review
Its about $30 more, but peace of mind was worth it IMO (only $20 more when I got it).
