Wow.. Leadtek Winfast TV Video Capture Card for $40.00 only???? Anyone know what is this? What is the different between this TV Deluxe Video Capture & TV Tuner Deluxe?

The Leadtek Winfast TV video Capture Card on Newegg for $40 does NOT have a TV tuner. It just does video capture from Svideo or composite input. It's just a card that allows you to have video in function.

I have the LEADTEK WINFAST "DELUXE" TV2000XP TV/FM MULTIMEDIA CARD from Newegg and have not been disappointed with it. Make sure you have a large HDD if you want to record anything though. a half hour tv show in mpeg2 "good" (not "optimal") format is 930MB at 640x480.

The p4 3.06Ghz should be enough for 640x480 encode w/ sound and a little extra so u won't skip frames. Maybe U can o/c to 3.3 just to make sure.

i have this card from newegg and it is great. i run a amd athlon xp 1800+ 512 ddr and works fine in real time avi capturing. they one from newegg has no tv tuner, i hook it up to my cable line and work from there.

Looks like it is not too bad a card ... But please that divx is total garbage.

Jeez, 3GHz P4 to encode with Divx! Is that right? Isn't there other codecs that need less cpu power to work real-time? Can you use xvid or WM9 or RM9 with this card?

Unless you are capturing a 640x480 at 30 FPS with a bit rate of 1MB/sec, you will not need anything over 500MHz.
