If you are down 5-0 at cap points (evidently by you mention of 4 other capturables plus the one they are amassing at), it is hardly a single player's fault
It's not, but it doesn't excuse a player going in 1v4 to die and not helping anything. And doing this repeatly even if its 3-2 nodes and they all happen to be capturing one node and the other 2-3 are open with no one in sight.

Edit - It's as if players think dying has zero influcene on the nexus.

Just unlocked Talon today.

Thought about some other's but I have a ton of mages. Figured I wanted an Assassin.

Now I just have to get good.

What quints should I pick up for him.

HP or Armor Pen.

I'm leaning toward HP so I can use them on other heroes...

I really like move speed quints as a general purpose quint usable on all champions.

HP used to be better before the nerf, I don't really ever use them anymore. I'd go for armor pen if you don't want to try move speed.


I've noticed something about the game, I'm going to call it the Chiropteran Effect. I'll play a champion I know how to play but I haven't used in awhile (malphite for example), and do incredibly well. Like 4/0/11 20 minute surrender good. Then I'll play it again and win 1-2 more games, and then suddenly start playing really terrible with the same champion, like I can't win a game for anything. When that happens, I try a different champion with similar role (such as jarvan), and again dominate my first game playing as him.. and then do well 1-2 more games, before I start losing again. Basically every time I go and play a solid champ I haven't touched in at least a week I do really well with it, for a couple games, before hitting a brick wall.

I suspect it's mostly psychological, in that once I win a few games I get over confident with the champion and make mistakes. Maybe I should simply always switch champions if I ever get two wins in a row.

HP quints seem like they would be awesome. But they are useless, I own them, and never ever use them. You want your runes to offer something that is tough to itemize for that hero. So in the case of the melee DPS caster you need CDR and Apen. Max CDR can be itemized relatively easily through masteries and a few items. Apen on the other hand is much tougher. There are only two choices and if you have a lot of Apen from runes you can skip Last Whisper in favor of items which offer more benefits, ghostblade on the other hand is awesome since it builds from one of the most cost effective items in the game, brutalizer and gives amazing stats. MS quints are also awesome on almost everyone, and so are Armor runes, even though armor is easy to itemize having the runes helps you to lane early and allows you to rush other items in most cases. If you have Apen, Flat AP, MS and Flat AD runes you have 99% of all your quint needs covered.

I like flat armor and flat magic resist as well, or scaling if I am playing a late game champ and expect to level up a bit before I really try for kills.

You don't tend to get exposed to a lot of magic damage early game. If you're laning as a tanky DPS against like Swain or something flat MR is great, otherwise scaling tends to be better.

This... I've tweaked my runepages a bit to fully utilize having 10 pages and it's amazing having options for my casters of Armor/MR/pureAP.

In a ranked game where I have a pretty good idea who I'm laning against this is amazing. I played Morgana yesterday top lane against a Pantheon and chose the armor page plus I started with cloth armor + pots and there was literally nothing he could do to me as I started with 55 armor + spell vamp + pots. I had his tower down by 15 minutes and easily escaped two jungle ganks (black shield + wards). Of course Morg is OP but adapting to your enemy is smart for any champion.

Yep this makes a huge diff. I was playing singed and had an irelia do this to me when I went top. She started with MR and a Null cloak with pots. Picked up chalice and Merc treads fast. I wasn't doing anything worth of damage to her early on since she had 90+ MR by level 4 or so. Anything I did she healed right back fast. So I swapped lanes with a Lee Sin. He proceeded to rape Irelia and I proceeded to rape bottom lane that had been building armor to that point. This is a strategy game after all.

My question is usually bot lanes are lower in level than the solo lanes so how did Lee Sin (if from bot) beat a higher lvl Irelia that have been getting farm?

While I couldn't kill her, I could zone her somewhat. Flip her away when something was about to die. That stuff. I also had teleport and irelia didn't. So i could be a bit more aggressive, take some punishment and B to come right back and force her away. So she wasn't leveling as fast. That and Lee Sin's counter was a support char that was being focused a bit on bot and had to B a few times. Which means he was solo a bit down there as well.

Shyvana deals magic damage per second to nearby enemies and her Movement Speed is greatly increased for 3 seconds. Shyvana's Movement Speed bonus is reduced over time.
Dragon Form: Burnout scorches the earth, continuing to damage enemies that stand on it.
Flame Breath
Shyvana unleashes a fireball that deals magic damage and melts the target's Armor for 4 seconds.
Dragon Form: Flame Breath engulfs all units in a cone in front of Shyvana.
Dragon's Descent (Ultimate)
Active: Shyvana transforms into a dragon and takes flight to a target location. Enemies along her path take magic damage and are knocked toward her target location.
Passive: Shyvana reinforces her scales, increasing her Armor and Magic Resist. Defensive bonuses are doubled in Dragon Form.
Fury of the Dragonborn (Passive)
Shyvana's melee attacks enhance her abilities.
Twin Bite - Reduces the cooldown by 0.5 seconds.

i'd still get talon if you want him. he's really fun and quite powerful. these nerfs aren't so hard. his ult had an insanely short cooldown so that you could use it all the time, the adjusted rates shouldn't affect him too much, just make him more 'balanced.' and the mana cost of his rake should only impact his laning.

I still think his rake goes a bit too far out. He can stand in the very edge of the bottom lane bush and still rake an entire minion wave + hit the champs standing behind the wave at the tower. All without exposing himself to damage. Just a bit obnoxious in my opinion. His early laning phase was ridiculous because of that. Along with the fact that it could easily be made spammable as an ability from the low mana costs it previously had.

My build- warmogs, merc treads, wig lantern, force of nature, wit's end, malady. Probably sub-optimal in some way but high attack speed is a must and i was playing the groups tank, so wit's end made sense. Malady was something of afterthought and maybe something else would have been stronger in that spot.

Yeah she seemed interesting.

Wukong seem to have some pretty signficant buffs. Saw 2 last night that did really well. His Juke is sweet. I may pick him up.

I'm looking for a high skillcap character. I was thinking Orianna? Thoughts?

I want a character you never see/very often to get really good with. Cassio is my main, followed by Talon/Nidalee.

She is great and yea, your build is similar to mine. Merc treads, warmogs, lantern, and triforce, Then maybe a bloodthirster but I go for footspeed/dmg items first. I played a few games with her last night and really like how fast her base speed is. I wouldn't say she's overly strong damage wise, but she can hold her own without too much tanking. Then again it could just be no one knows how to play against her yet.

max E asap. bursty as SHIT. it's hilarious dropping people to 50% of their hp at level 4.

on the other hand, i got wrecked as chogath last night by teemo. that little fucker and his poison darts.

Just bought Wukong. I love him. He's pretty decent in team fights. He wrecks other tanks with his Armor Rending ability. Kinda Tanky.

He is tricky as hell, I love making people blow skillshots and Ignite/Exhaust on his Cloak ability.

Also. PS. Picked up Hexatech Anivia...worth it.

This works only if the other person isn't stacking health against him early and if you are as Olaf. This is because that E does the some damage to you as well as them. The lifesteal doesn't work with his E either. Of course the health Olaf loses is much less for his E versus the damage it puts out, but it isn't nearly as effective if the person against him is stacking health as well to counter it.

Still not everyone stacks health right away so usually it works pretty damn well.
