I have been waiting for free trundle week.... forever... I probably missed it heh. Since I always get stuck jungling it would be nice to have an OP champ like trundle to use. Actually I need to start jungling xin more since he's so easy to jungle.

Just to throw it out there, I have little trouble against AD carries with Annie (stun + great range) and Ryze who can dish the damage back at em early and latter can but frozen heart as part of his core items.

I guess the reason I like brand better than these two is how often his stun is available and its range since it is a skill shot. If they get the jump on you, E,Q quick for the stun, W as you run away. If they chase, alternate Q and W as they are up. This keeps your dot on them, and keeps stunning them all without them ever getting remotely close enough to hit you.

But that would leave non-ugly champs like LeBlanc, Lux, and Miss Fortune in no-mans land. Perhaps we should go out on a limb and say perchance digital attractiveness (or lack thereof) has no say on a character's effectiveness?

First off I agree that they aren't men. Second Lux is not attractive while still being highly effective.

Lux is not what I consider highly effective. She is horrid late game in my opinion. Her damage just doesn't scale well at all. At low levels she can dish it out decently enough. But at high levels most champs can laugh at even an well fed Lux. I know I have. Had a lux beat on me for like 15 seconds and I actually stood there checking to see what she could do. She got her ult off on me twice. I think I lost maybe a fifth of my hps at level 18. I typed in chat, "Is that all?" to which they responded, "I think I'm going to cry in a corner now and not play Lux anymore."

Her baton is useful in mid game for helping in the team fight, but it doesn't add enough late game. Her damage is good early, only okay mid game, and crappy late game. Her only redeeming quality is helping stop runners or saving someone that is being chased with her multi snare skill shot.

Her only real "big" asset is being a kill stealer with her ult or killing people at the tower thinking they are safe when they are trying to recall back to base. Which in the end is not exactly enough to win a team game.

True, although I was using the "Chinese Art Lux" skin/icon I downloaded from Leaguecraft.

Most people just don't know how to play Lux very well since she's skillshot based. I have no problem dropping the majority of champs when I'm well fed as Lux.

But yes, her weak point is late game. As it is with most casters. AP scaling just can't keep up with HP/resist stacking. But she brings a ton of utility with a double snare, AOE slow, and AOE double shield which helps make up for the late game dropoff in raw killing power.

Trundle is sick when it comes to early ganking. I hate facing a team with jungle trundle.

so i've been having a TON of success with my warwick lately since changing my build. i've been doing boots first: double golem > wraiths > red > gank. no one expects a gank that early. i can't believe i was never doing this before with WW.

on a sad note, since people are talking about trundle. i finally lost my 100% win rate with him in ranked

Who do you guys think is the best tankish dps? Blitzcrank/cho'gath have been the characters i have been using in this role as well as mundo.

I've heard that jarvan works well in this role as well. What do you guys think?

trundle is also good tank dps, but lacks a bit on dps and no hard cc

some other odd ones I like:
ranged tank dps Urgot
ap tank dps Fiddle

fiddle is a lot weaker early game because of the life drain change, but the cc on his dark wind is better early

The free karthus week was annoying as hell. Lost my last game of the night because of that. Frikking mid Karthus in ranked draft that was 0/4/0 at the 30 minute mark. Hadn't used his ult even once after 30 minutes of play. Seriously wtf?!?! I don't know which is worse. Free Karthus or free Teemo weeks.

I have to agree, free karthus week sucks, especially when playing ranked. Karthus is my favorite character and when he's free some noob is always picking him before I can. I ended up carrying my team in a game as him last night as usual(ended around 17-4). Within the first 6 minutes my team was already 0-6, and I thought it was going to be one of those games. However I would push mid and then join my jungler to go gank top or bottom, which worked pretty well. Karthus' wall is a great help when ganking. Not to mention when pushing a turret I place it so that enemies would have to walk through it to defend thier turret, and it works very effectively at keeping them away (no one ever wants to walk through it).

On an unrelated note, does anyone here experience lag sometimes where you still see everything thats going on, but you can't move your character or use abilities? and this persists for 10-15+ seconds?

I've had that a few times, usually followed by a disconnect.

I queued up ranked yesterday and ended up in a bad team comp as udyr (only tank, only stun) and I was thankful when someone dodged. The next team also had no jungler but on a whim I took Xin instead of Udyr despite having only jungled him once. Oh my, he is still just as broken as ever. Talk about an easy win. At around level 13 I was 5/1/1 and Mord solo charged me with a full shield at his tower, I just went e > r > q > w > e and he was dead while I still had 1/2 health. 3 more hits and the tower died. I also almost solod Baron at level 16 that game (someone showed up to help at 1/3 hp) and I must say I really really like the new Black Cleaver on Xin. The only small problem with jungle xin is that he can't take cleanse.

I mostly skill the same as Humble q&w first actually q > w > q > e > q > r >q >w > q >w
but I don't use CD runes opting for flat MR, I also use a single movespeed quint and don't buy zeal. Finally I went 16/0/14 rather than 21/0/9 as the 2 points of move speed in utility + the additional neutral mastery buff is better than an additional 5% base damage in my book. Finally I did'nt rush bloodrazor since my enemies had lots of armor.

Armor + 5 pots
Boots + ward + 2 hp pot + 2 mana pot
Madreds Razor (jungling is now trivial)
(3 good ganks + jungle + towre before I came back)
MR cloak , HoG (they were very AP heavy so I didn't get the chain mail as I usually would)
Dagger + 2 wards + recurve bow
Dagger > Black Cleaver
Banshees Veil
HoG > Raduins
Bloodrazor

I had some time to play a game last night, then was greeted with the patching update thing. Took forever, then at 99% it failed. Now it won't even load. Yay. Time to reinstall..

On an unrelated note, does anyone here experience lag sometimes where you still see everything thats going on, but you can't move your character or use abilities? and this persists for 10-15+ seconds?

I was having that issue for awhile until I finally got Time Warner to fix my internet. Turns out one of the splitters on the line went bad or something and the signal degradation was way too high. So I would still get some throughput, but not enough. Meaning the system wasn't get my uploads, but I was still getting some downloads.

Since my internet got fixed I haven't had this happen anymore.



But I got to play a couple of games last night as Renekton.

Strange char but decent enough. I think he starts off way to slow though. He does get much better late game. The trick to Renekton is managing to know when to pop is Q or his W when he has 50 rage or more. His E doesn't do much when it uses his rage and I found I would sometimes waste his rage when I used E to dice out when I didn't mean to.

Ugh I had some terrible games last night playing Renek and then Xin. I haven't played melee DPS champs (as opposed to tanks) in awhile so I'm a bit rusty.

I especially liked the Morde who complained about everyone sucking and then proceeded to use his Ghost on Nunu instead of the MF I'd melt first in a team fight.

This is why I love LeBlanc. Here are all my games from my recent matches where I've played her. All wins. The one with only 6 kills was from an inhouse with Rhoxed and friends yesterday where I had to solo top lane against Fenix's Mord and a Taric. Which was a less then ideal kill lane haha, luckily we had Rhoxed's 2k elo friend to carry us. Mid with LB is just so much fun, honestly most other heroes are just dull now, I'm spoiled. Although I did play a game with Kassadin yesterday and he was pretty fun.

I played kassadin for the first time last night in a couple bot games. He seems like he could be pretty good at chasing down heroes. He can teleport infinity on top of peoples heads and then burst his slow.

I've been wondering recently about jungle xin.

Now that his W no longer loses its passive after activation, is it better to stick with AS runes or Arpen? I know as will probably make his jungling even faster but man that +25 arpen at lvl 1 is devastating plus arpen is nicer for late game since you get free AS anyhow.

Anyone know the answer to this?

IIRC the blue/red golems have 24 armor so shooting for that number can't be bad. I haven't actually run the tests to see which is faster.
