Yes to both. I watch in Process Explorer both PMB and LOL executables start, then they shut down a few seconds later. A few events are written into Windows Event logs. I've forwarded all that stuff plus the LoL log files over to Riot. But it seems 3.11 has had a lot of problems so they're support is backed up right now.

This is crazy. Based on a Reddit post, I tried reducing my resolution. Boom launcher is back up. Amateur hour at Riot I guess with this patch because tons of people are reporting FPS issues, constant disconnects, patching problems, friends list disappearing, item sets disappearing, and so on.

So...I may have found one of the primary issues holding me back.

I get easily annoyed and the more annoyed I get the more frustrated I get. No matter what I'm doing now, I put everyone on both teams on mute. Sure..it kind of takes away but it keeps me from being distracted.

Since doing this, I've won 9 of 10 ranked games in a row in solo queue (and more or less carried them) with a much better k/d/a ratio. The 1 loss was due to (surprise! troll which caused another person to afk).

In conjunction with this, I've been watching the videos that Zeb linked. Very useful information. I wouldn't say there are a bunch of huge revelations, but it makes you reconsider how you approach things and recognize things you do or don't do.

Inevitably, I miss one here and there and end up with 30 @ 5 and 80 @ 10. The big one though is the laning positions and timing on trades so you take minimal damage. I was never very good at that and those tips should help get better results.

Did you get your LoL working again? I've still not closed mine...

I did. I changed my desktop resolution and that for some reason allows the launcher to load properly. Then I can reset it back to normal.

I'm glad they're helping people though I had nothing to do with making them.

Regarding muting: I figure that when you're typing/flaming/arguing you're typing instead of playing and not only are you possibly making your teammates angry, they're usually spending time typing instead of playing. Honestly the only things I can't do with pings are ask where the wards are in a lane or give short instructions like - "if we get a kill, we dragon" and "Mid push and come gank bot with me" or "plz take tower" (I jungle a lot)

Best advice for ranked, duo with someone. Helps if you duo with someone that's a decent elo above or below you imo, reason being that it pretty much locks the positions you're in.
That's what my duo partner and I do, I usually get Captain position and he's last pick, that gives me a guaranteed FP/counter pick and I can ban whatever I don't feel like dealing with or what I feel is going to be more influential/stronger vs what I pick. Also increases rough game stability since there's at least 1 person you know how they'll act for most of the game, granted he likes playing support and is the role he gets 95% of the time.

My other advice is just play Pantheon.

I think this breeds toxicity before a match way more than someones ping does. It actually surprises me Riot hasn't done something about this since it's external. Knowing match histories is one thing, but current build and pages is a bit far.

Meh, the people that rage about it are the ones who should be least concerned with how other people are doing and instead focused on improving themselves. But they aren't because they're focused on "how bad their teammates are". I just use it to get a quick gauge of who is the strong and weak point of the team (division) and if anyone is part of a premade.

I've been doing the "pro" support start of 3 pots + 2 pinks + 2 greens and then rushing Sightstone first and buying nothing but pinks. Really nice to have control over vision from the start. Also is it just me or is Leona the FOTM pick for support these days? I think I played against her in 75% of my games this weekend.

I've started playing ranked games again to try and brush up on my skills before s4. I've gone all the way down to bronze and am trying to work my way back up.

You know something is wrong when I'm playing the tank and yet I have more kills than all the carries combined.

This entire "everyone die in lane at once so that every lane dies simultaneously" thing is getting old.

The shield applies to everyone within 600 range when activated. Locket is +10% CDR, no armor aura, and -5 to the MR aura compared to Bulwark. It's still very good for a support vs. a double AP (or more) team. Nowadays my build is SS -> Philo -> Aegis -> Shurelya's -> Locket. Upgrade the SS if we're starting to push into their 2nd tier turrets and I could use that extra ward.

Re: MMR I do agree it's weird but it's usually a sign you're ready to move up a bracket. I'm trying to go gold 1 > plat 5 and almost all my games have no more than 3 gold players in them. You have to prove you can hang with the big boys to join them though I agree the fact that I was first pick with a plat 3, plat 4, plat 4, gold 5 team was odd.

Finally consider this me evangelizing for ranked 5s. Playing this game with voice chat and friends is so awesome. Yesterday I won against a team of D1, D1, D2, D5, G2 despite starting 1-4 simply because we forced teamfight with a team of Hecarim, Malphite, Swain (Me), Thresh and Miss Fortune. The Zed splitpush was a massive massive masive fucking annoyance (honestly W needs a longer CD) but we persevered until we got a pick, dove their inhib turret and ended it after 40 minutes of scrambling.

Not much you can do there. Just play your best and work on your own mechanics and realize that the chances the other team has the AFKer are greater than your own.

I did a quick lolking of your match history. You seem pretty good in the mid APC role but your ADC needs a lot of work. Most notably, you're dying a lot. You need to analyze why that is happening. I'm going to take a stab at the fact that your positioning is probably not that great and maybe during laning phase you don't trade well. Maybe at times your teammates don't help peel for you in which case you need to let your support and/or tank know they need to peel the enemy assassins and anti-carry off of you so you can live and do damage.

Also when you are doing well as APC, are you pressing your advantage on other lanes? It's not good enough that you go 3/0/x and push down mid tower. You need to parlay that into roaming bot/top and helping those lanes win with your advantage.

I'll start looking for people to do some games with and maybe some Ranked 5s. Not that I'm any good but working together instead of in the frustrations of solo queue only makes it an easier process. Just make sure you have Vent/Skype/TS/Mumble.
