My Girlfriend bought her son a new laptop for Christmas. I helped her spec it out and we ended up getting a HP 17z with a AMD 810 8700P CPU, M360 2GB Video card, 8 GB of Ram, 17" 1080P screen, and Win10. I was quite surprised to hear that he has a problem running League of Legends on it (my son says LoL should could run on a toaster). Sure enough, he is having issues when he finishes a game and exits a round, alt tabs in or out of a game, and when he exits the game. My son went over it with him and installed a newer video driver, un-installed and re-installed the game, etc... I searched the LoL website and googled the problem, but couldn't find any recent results or any results that fixed the problem. Does anyone here play the game or have any suggestions on what I should look at next? He is going back to college next week and I'd like to have this resolved before he leaves if I can.
Thanks in advance for any helpful or humorous suggestions!
BTW: When we spec'd out the laptop, we came close to maxing her budget. So, we chose 'only' 8GB of ram (but, it is one stick, so we can always add another as necessary), and we got a 'standard' HD. Unfortunately a Solid State HD was way over budget. I don't imagine either of these 'helping'. But, I don't really think they should cause these problems.
