I'm heading to Border's to hopefully pick up a book on Visual Basic. Any recommendations for a good book to learn it?
Oh, and I have an embarassingly silly question: What is the difference between Visual Basic 2005, and Visual Basic .NET? If I learned VB 2005, would I then be able to develop an application in VB using Visual Studio .NET? I apologize in advance, I'm a bit foggy on all this .NET talk.
My quandary is: do I look for a book teaching Visual Basic 2005, or Visual Basic .NET?
Thanks in advance
edit: added novice questions. Please be gentle
