Here's an alternate method:

Make this an "ultra-white-burning-hot" deal... that is, of course, if you don't want the *almost* free paperclips...

Use $15 off $50 coupon, instead of $20 off $75:

$69.99 - $15.00 (coupon) = $54.99 + $3.30 (tax) = $58.29 - $20.99 (MIR) = $37.30 TOTAL

Basically, if you add exactly $5.01 of stuff, then the original deal (with 20 of 75) will equal this deal.

got mine, takes some time to assemble but great chair, even has an allen wrench which makes for easy assembly.... no tools required. you can also lock it in the upwright position or make the rocking up and backnice and loose.

this chair would be a good deal at 60 bucks too. its a steal at 30

oh yeah when i got to my OD to do instore pickup i was like WTF? the guy was happy to get rid of it - last week they had 125 and now there down to 70 or so of them.

I just bought this chair last week... now there's a rebate!

Just bought a Cendyne 52x24x52 CD-RW few weeks ago
and that thing also gets cheaper...

I just have the worse timing when it comes to hot deals recently...

BTW, the chair is comfortable and easy to assemble.

I'm assuming you bought this item in store for $69.99 w/o any rebates?
If you still have the OD store reciept and the chair's box/upc, you can do this:
1. Buy the chair online (w/ the online coupon) and have it shipped to your home.
2. When it arrives, take off the shipping label (carefully), take this new chair to the store you bought your first one for, and return it for the original price you paid
3. Since you have a reciept that is dated within the valid rebate period, you can use that to send in the rebate. You can also cut off and mail in the upc of the chair's original box, since all upc's are the same.

I believe this is legit b/c there's a 14 day return policy on OD furniture anyways. So you COULD return the one you currently have and buy a new one, but that'd be a lotta work. You'd have to dissemble it, repackage it, and reassemble the new one. Basically, this is doing the same thing, but a lot less work for you. I hope this helps!

I would try this if I didn't throw out the box recently.
Besides, I remember reading somewhere on the instructions that I can't return the product to a local OD...
oh well, life just sucks sometimes.

You can do a better deal at OM right now. They have a similar chair to this one for $80 - $40 MIR. They also have a Cendyne 48x burner for $70 - $80 in MIR's. So do this: $80 (chair) + $70 (burner) + ~$10 (tax) - $40 (chair MIR) - $30 (burner MIR 1) - $50 (burner MIR 2) - $30 (coupon) = ~$10! See Digglers 7/20-7/26 OM thread.

ok for that price. seems to be the normal price considering how often they have these deals lol.

leather is errr "leather". the two main surfaces are thin leather it seems, the sides and back are vinyl, can't expect more at this price. major gripe is the back support, which really blows. i use a cushion.

Word of warning, I got this chair about a year ago and and it's already pretty baned up. The lever that puts it into position such that you can set it not to tilt back all the way broke easily, and the whole base is weak.

VERY VERY comfy though.

The Venture (680119) is a decent chair.. it is..

It replaced the old one (441-442)...

$29.99 is a great deal for such a chair.. one of the lowest it has ever gone.. but wait for the back to school coupons.. get chairs like these for litearlly $10 or less.. its been done.

You cant.... there 4 parts to each side.. the arm rest is attached from the back to the bottom of the chair..

Easy chair to make tho.. 15 minutes tops

Are you sure its the same one? The older version is exactly like this one.. the Venture just has a head rest...

Remember.. you do have a 1 yr manufacture warranty.. Many times.. they just ask for basic information and send you out a brand new one..

I got it yesterday. It was comfy. Fairly straight forward to assemble. Makes me want to get a bigger desk now. I only have a compact student desk which I can't slide the new chair into.. I'm looking for a bigger version of my desk, with the same layout and positioning of drawers. Awaiting more hot deals..

how's the quality of the leather? is it kind of rubbery, or plasticky feeling? or is it the really nice soft, velvety leather?

i'm sitting in mine right now. sent the rebate out today. as for the leather, well, its what you'd expect for a $29 chair. i guess you could describe it as plasticky, i wouldnt go so far as rubbery, pretty hard, feels kinda like vinyl to me. i want to reiterate, though, that this is the most comfortable sub-$50 chair that i've ever sat in. and i've sat in quite a few. surprisingly easy to assemble, as well.

Yup, the leather isn't the best, but it's good for the price. My only complaint is the the back of the chair is held in place with the armrests. I want to take it off sometimes. It's more spacious if I do.

I decided to get one from Staples with the adjustable headrest for $69.00. It feels much nicer to sit in.
I was a little dissapointed after I saw this one from OD.

Both are somewhat firm (I like that). Both have backs that attach to the armrests. The one I picked up from Staples just felt like it was made with thicker padding, and feels more like a $299 chair. The adjustable headrest will allow you to adjust to the liking of any finicky puter addict.

You may want to check it out.... although more expensive..... I felt it was worth the added cost.

The item # at Staples is # 490267. You can see it is a more substantial chair, and you can use a coupon to get the price down.

Thanks for the Staples product number. Before I buy anything, I'm going to check at this forum first.

is it dead or not? Becuase I need one, and this old metal folding chair isn't cutting it anymore.

If I remember the SKU correctly this is the chair my local OD has literally HUNDREDS of. They tend to recycle the deals - this one goes on sale every so often.
