I want just the Elite (elite) keyboard. Can you buy it separate anywhere?

I have an Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. How is the styling on the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (which has same design as the wired Intellimouse Explorer 4.0) different?

I'm not much of a gamer, except I play on-line golf, and the responsiveness is almost good, if not better, than the microsoft optical wired (the basic white one).

That was one of my main problems with my logitech MX700. It was a great mouse but after about 6 months I really had to get the mouse into the perfect position for it to charge properly (yes i cleaned the contacts) and the cursor started jumping all over the screen, even after driver and usb uninstall and reinstalls.

Finally I gave up and bought this mouse and I couldn't be happier. I'm still on my first set of batteries, I think they'll last for a while, and once those are done I'm just going to throw in a set of rechargeables in there.

I put NiMH batteries in it -- so far so good. I think the scroll button is bad. I know the force needed to click is much greater than my old Intellimouse Explorer 1.0, but even with a hard push, with the sound and tactile feedback, the click isn't registered by the computer. All the other buttons are fine. I think it's defective and has to go back.

the scroll click is bad. really hard to push. other than that this mouse gets a 10/10 the scroll click makes it a 9/10

Several of the reviews at Amazon say their mouse had multiple problems. I was looking at getting the combo just for the keyboard (since I haven't found it separate like the mouse is), but don't even want the keyboard after I realized the crazy page keys (home, insert, delete etc) layout. This keyboard's handrest and key response have the best feel I've ever felt (and looks great), but I can't deal with the key layout. Others agree.

Received the mouse. Looks and feels good. Response is excellent in windows environment. Tilt wheel is nice, but rarely have use for it. All buttons work well. Will report back once I take it through Halflife 2.

OK, so I took the mouse through a few trials in Halflife 2. Works excellent, though the middle scroll button is hard to get use to (stiff). No problems whatsoever for gaming.

Can someone explain the tilt wheel? Also would there be a proper way to clean the leather? I saw one today at OD, and it looks like it's just a thin veneer, but won't it get nasty dirty from sweat?

The mouse wheel can be pushed sideways in either direction. The idea is you can now scroll an Excell spreadsheet with that instead of using the scroll bar just like you use the mouse wheel do scroll up and down. So now you can scroll sideways.

No idea on the cleaning but I'm thinking of picking one up. I don't like their wireless keyboard but this mouse looks comfortable.

Run far far away from this mouse. I had one and it eats batteries bad. Also, if you are gaming the responce sucks. Ended up switching to a wired intellimouse and its a world of difference.

I picked one of these up for the video playback computer and I am very impressed. None of the stiff wheel issues mentioned before. It replaced a Logitech wireless that was not very impressive. The leather is a soft plastic like in cars and its not weird like I expected.

I've got this mouse still in the un-opened box. Got it for $10 at OD. Didn't need it but got it just because it was a good price.

I have one of these as well as an MX700 which I currently use. I like the tilt wheel for horizontal scrolling. However, I think that the range on the device stinks a lot.

It's very sensitive on where the mouse is in relation to the receiver whereas the MX700 doesn't seem to care all that much though the MX700 seems to eat a lot of power compared to the MS mouse.

I find the MX700 more comfortable and properly balanced too. The MS mouse has the batteries largely towards the back of the mouse making it a little awkward to pick up for me.

my 2 cents.

BTW: Staples has this same mouse for $29.99, then a $5 rebate or the sort.
Search for SKU 521702

Might be nice if you have something else to buy from Staples then you can apply that $15 off $75 coupon which expires on the 2/1.
