And that is how you should handle every fight. More time the other guy is standing the better the chance he has to kick your ass.
I spent a few years training hap-ki-do. They train on ending the fight as fast as possible with as little damage done to you. If i see a shot to the nuts darn right i will take it. If I am in a position to maybe break someone?s elbow I will do it.
I?m not going to stand there and trade punches with anyone. I want to be the one without a scratch going home.
Cheapshotting someone will probably mean another fight if that guy ever sees the OP again. And the second time, the other guy will have no quips about walking up behind him, and cheapshotting him right back.
Did they teach you that part in hap-ki-do?
edit: FWIW, I think you were right to help your buddy out and that there was no way to avoid a fight there. I just disagree with the cheapshot kick in the nuts
.Odss on seeing the other guy are slim.
In Hap-Ki-Do they taught us how to end a fight as fast as we can and be able to walk away from it.
If someone insists on fighting and I can not either walk away or talk to them like an adult. You are damn right i will do whatever i have to do to win.
There is no honor in getting your rear end kicked in a fight. I'm am not starting fights to impress women. I am not going to start a fight to show how manly I am. I do not think it?s wimpy to just say you are wrong and buy someone a beer to avoid one either.
I have a family to take care of. So if I find myself where i have to defend myself, a friend or family member I will do whatever I have to do to not get hurt. If that is kicking in the groan, sticking my fingers in his eyes, or breaking an elbow or such I will do it.
I don't need to be the stud. I need to be the father and husband to my family.
