Most over-rated player in American professional sports history.
i just got the new lebron phone.
It only vibrate cuz it ain't got no rings
I'm talking about yesterdays game, the most important of the series, if the rest of his team hadn't stepped up to make up for his missed shots they wouldn't have won. If you're going to factor in the other 5 games why not factor in his entire career?
Again they're both proven choke artists, and 1 good finals doesn't change the overall thing here. The entire Mami team played like shit yesterday, the league shouldn't even let them play next season. It's a shame Rondo got injured like he did or I wouldn't have had to watch an entire team play like pussies for the 4th quarter.
Then why is John Elway not remembered as the greatest choke artist ever? Only twice in his career--his final two seasons, was he ever able to get it done. All up until the end, he remained, "The greatest to never..."
So, why is he not remembered for being a complete failure after only winning 2 championships out of 15 seasons? and only 2 out of 5 Superbowls, where before he was known as the consummate choke artist?
fantastic during the regular season, down the stretch, in the 4th quarter, and during the playoffs, of course--but never when it counted the most....(except for only those 2 games which have erased everyone's memory)
Because he was a fan favorite so people wanted to see him win. When you're the golden boy and finally win, even if you lost for a decade plus, people will tend to only focus on the wins. Ity's a story of glory and how a legend battled his way to the top. On the flip side if the Heat actually get their shit together and win lets say 3-4 rings in a row. Since James is the most hated dude in basketball the typical person will still only focus on how he choked early in his career and say his rings mean nothing because he was a choke artist who got lucky. James will NEVER be able to win in eyes of the people who watch basketball. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. In your example of Elway, Dirk would basically be the basketball equivalent of John. The people who watch B-Ball have totally forgotten how his choking was a thing of legends.
The fact Lebron was MVP 2 years in a row and people still carry on about how he's the most overrated player ever and that he sucks, says it all.
Yes! Yes! Oh let me taste your tears, jock rider! Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness! Mmm-yummy! Mmm-yummyBecause he was a fan favorite so people wanted to see him win. No he's not screwed if he does, screwed if he doesn't... He ALREADY brags about how many they are going to win... When he wins, as long as he is the player that does it for them (and isn't benched because Wade can carry the team) he will be viewed much differently.

He won't get credit, he's a villain, villains can't win. Another example of a villain's Floyd Mayweather. When he eventually fights Pacman, even if he wins. The hate people have for him won't allow them to give him any credit. Mayweather has 40+ wins and no loses, yet I can find a multitude of people who will tell me with a straight face that he sucks. If Miami does win all the people will say is "well he had to join a team with 2 all stars on it to make it happen, so what..."

As with Boston & Chicago, 4-1 Heat. Mavs are good, but as Pippen said Lebron's probably the best all around player the NBA has ever seen. Him + Wade = lights out.
Even if James checks out, every game has been close without him in the 4th, since it's been a shot or 2 deciding it. They might not even need him. Wade & Bosh could carry the team to a win. Based off the last 5 games though, if James plays AT ALL in the 4th the Heat will win easily. With their star player zoning out for an entire quarter and Dallas shooting like monsters from the 3 they still managed to almost win the last game.
LOL 11-0 run and Chockinski is 1-9 shooting
Dirk is playing like I expected, he ALWAYS chokes in the finals.
maybe cuz it's the cockiness, the self proclaimed "KING" and holding a press conference before leaving cle...etc...
blaming and complaining about teammates, causing him to lose; so he left cle - to a team that has star players; better players...and yet he still can't win. maybe that's why everyone's laughing at him now...
dirk may have lost/choked the previous seasons just like james did...but he was humble about it...he kept trying. what did james do? f*cked a whole city...blamed others for what he can't do, etc.
dirk was respected... because he was humble
james was laughed at... because he was cocky
and disrespectful... doing that fake cough...wtf was that?

This past season is the reason that people lost respect for him because of his antics. In his defense, him not winning a ring @ CLE was because of the other players. He literally had no help over there. Even Antawn Jamison hardly helped him at all.
Imagine if Jordan was allowed 3 steps...
