Bah.. what they should really do is take the time in seconds from midnight (12am) and represent that number in binary. For example, 4:30pm works out to 59400 seconds = 1110100000001000.

You'll need 17 binary digits to represent 11:59pm.. now, THAT would be a truly binary clock!
