Not really a hot deal, but still pretty cool. Definately for anyone technical. You have to use binary to tell the time!

it's actually not hard to read. they make it easier by putting each number in 2 columns, so it can be read similar to decimal.

i might get one if it's cheaper than this.

might me a bit annoying with the seconds leds constantly changing at night.... now if they just took off the seconds leds and added an alarm, that would be useful!

Just build your own if your good enough, shouldnt take more than a couple of hours and $2 of materials (at most... much cheaper if mass produced)

We have one of these in our conference room.... most everyone can read it...even the non-computer literate..... meetings can get quite boring.

My decidedly non-geek Mother-In-Law bought me one of these last Christmas. I really don't think she knew what she bought. Nevertheless, it was an amazingly geeky present that was much appreciated. Watching others try and decipher it is almost as much fun as loaning someone an HP calculator (with RPN) and watch them struggle to find the "=" sign.

The binary is too easy to read, takes about 3 seconds, they should make each one of the "on" ones continually blink on and off randomly, or if you want even more of a fun time trying to tell the time, just use an hourglass.

For the ubergeeks that are on the pc 14+hours a day, whats the use of a clock outside of the pc anyway?
