Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd?

I think this match-up will be a little more even than Beatles vs. Stones, I also consider them both to be in the Top 10 of best bands ever, although neither are one of my personal favorites.

However, continuing the 'appreciation' trend, I think I give the edge to Zeppelin here. Both are VERY equal to me and it really is hard to pick a favorite, so I compared the #1 songs for each and Stairway got the nod over Numb.

i hate you. both I very much like/love. And both bands serve as inspiration at times for Coheed & Cambria, along with The Who and Rush.
i might have to go with Zeppelin though, yes I think I shall, just because they have so much more material that I enjoy. Floyd, well, I really only like the two albums that everyone knows. Although I do like their 'Animals' album as well. Dogs is probably my favorite 30 minute song. (and yes, I do like quite a few other songs that rival that, and not counting live extended versions).

Thought Zeppelin is a close second.

I got to see Roger Waters live about 8-9 years ago on his "In the Flesh" tour. Something I will always remember and cherish.

Now I like floyd and have at least 10 cd's but come on,it is actually 2 very different styles so it is hard to compare them.

Zeppelin, but Pink Floyd is #2 in my book as well.

Zeppelin was much more influential with the mainstream.
They have the undisputed greatest classic rock song of all time and their music is used in endless marketing campaigns.
