Classic rock radio ruined the enjoyment of that song (along with others) by playing it to death, but still a lot to love on Physical Graffiti I just wish other tracks got played.

I can't say why, but that was the first song that popped into my head when I read the story. It was like popping open a bag of Lays, though, I couldn't have just one and kept listening to more

omg.
how much am I gonna have to surrender for these tickets. I have it in my mind that I am basically going no matter what. Never thought I'd get the chance to see Zep live in my lifetime, and I have to take up this opportunity.

Tell me about it. I've been waiting 25 years!

They shouldn't. They should have stopped for good (meaning actually for good) when Bonham died.

Yep. LZ died with Bonham, no question about that.

My beef is Page and Jones worked so well together. Page's creativity and encyclopedia of musical stylings, and Jone's arrangement talent were the backbone of Zeppelin. Why haven't they worked together again? I really hope they're making a new album, but not as Led Zeppelin. Plant is pretty full of himself anyway, plus he knows he doesn't have what he used to in the vocal dept. He probably realizes that after 2 shows he'll probably be hospitalized.

Have you seen any of his concerts with Allison on VH1? He's pretty much whispering and talking lyrics the whole time. On top of that, he "country-ized" a bunch of Zeppelin material...often with disastrous results. Listen to this drivel:

This kind of disproves the "doesn't want to rehash" theory. I think Robert just realized he can't handle rock singing anymore and is worried that if he tries, it'll ruin his reputation.

Robert Plant ? Official Statement 29th September 2008 Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are currently touring the USA on the last leg of their 'Raising Sand' tour. They played a benefit concert in Oklahoma City for victims of Hurricane Ike last Friday; Austin,Texas last Saturday and tomorrow they play Portland, Oregon before finishing the tour in Saratoga, California on October 5th. After those dates, Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets. ?It?s both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward,? Robert Plant said. ?I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects,? he added.

I think playing one or two Zep songs here and there mixed in with mostly new material is perfectly acceptable personally. You can't forget where you came from but at the same time if that's all you're doing you're not moving on as a musician.

Plant is basically horrible now, I'll give you that. He couldn't hit the notes even if he wanted to. I just respect he's not in it for the massive cash grab. I agree JPJ and JP should make music together but they just can't call it Led Zeppelin. I would have to say LZ were 4 parts working together perfectly, much like the Who. The Who just don't work without Moon and LZ without Bonham. It's rare to see all musicians performing at the peak of their game these days.

<sniffle> I didn't even get a few minutes of happiness before you ruined the illusion. Guess it's good not to get my hopes up, but damn I wanted that to be true.

Supposedly the new guy sings pretty good, haven't hear him though. I wasn't too impressed with Plant in his duet with Allison Krauss.
