LEDs not work on SX1030 w/ ECS K7S5

i have this same case at home with an Asus P3V4X no problem, but on the ECS the amount of LED connectors on the mobo does NOT match the number of pins required by the case LED cords, specifically the ACPI/power one. it has three pins on the cord, but the mobo has only two pins for that same type of connection. i am positive that i am looking at the correct area, as my HDD LED works. so since my power LED is more important for the time being (just built the system), i plugged the ACPI/power cord into the HD pins. but then i cannot use the "real" HDD led.

anyway, im sure peeps have this case/mobo combo, and since im not an electrical engineer, im sure someone else can help with a solution. i want the prety lights!

your right, it only has room for hdd, reset, speaker, power light, and power button. I believe the power button may function as a dual sleep/power on switch.

I did a little modding to my friends ecsk7s5a last night, - cut the power light connector in half leaving the 2 pins intact and plugged each in, viola green led

thx for the reply. sorry to be so dense Ice69 but do you mean you cut off one of the pin holes on the connector (ie the black part)? if so, which one did you cut out? dumb ?s.

I found it easier to just remove the metal pins from the plastic casing. If you look at the opposite side of the plastic connector with the printing on it, you can push in the little metal tabs with a paperclip or small flathead screwdriver, and the metal pins will slide out of the casing. You can either put one of the pins in the empty middle hole so the pins are side by side, or you can just take both pins out and put them on without the plastic connector like I did.
