L4D is awesome. I have never been more consumed by a video game.. except for Crimson Skies.

I don't care what people say about L4D2. I'm all over it the day it comes out. They could have just added 2 new stages and 2 new guns and I'd still buy it.

I can't decide if I want to pre-order this from Gogamer or just wait and see what kind of deal/sale Steam will have...

They usually don't have a deal on their new games, at most it's a 5% deal... and this gogamer deal is 20%... hmmmmmmmm. Decisions decisions!

It offers 5 new campaigns, new special infected, new weapons, new characters with new voice acting.

How does Madden '10 differentiate itself from Maddens 07 08 and 09?

As someone who has easily put 200+ hours into the first L4D, I can honestly say I got my $50 out of it. Knowing Valve, I'm fairly confident I'll get my money out of whatever I pay for the sequel.

L4D is a good game. Now that they are rolling out new maps (letting others make custom maps) the game is even better.

Tho, I enjoyed Half Life, Far Cry a bit more. I kinda like bigger environments tho, playing on line with other team members has it's pluses and negatives. The the best online game that I still play is unreal.

So... saying all that, I'd never pay more then 20 bucks for the game given some of the reviews I've read so far. I'll wait!

It's odd that only 1 year earlier they release TF2 and it has had enough updates that if they treated it like l4d it would be called TF4.

Stop whining that you aren't getting enough free shit from game companies. If you made that claim about any other product category, you'd be laughed at. Moreso.

When last I checked(Oct 9 2009), Steam has Left 4 Dead 2 preorder for $44.99 (10% off the normal $49.99), but more importantly, they have the 4 pack for only $134.99. That's only $33.75 a copy! This can be a great deal if some of your friends/clan mates plan on getting it.

I play this in a fairly large group of 20+ and everybody already pre-ordered on Steam using the 4-packs. Brings it down to ~$35 incl. paypal fees.

I spent $60 on the first one and my wife and I have played it 5x a week minimum for a full YEAR. Eat that for replay value. All of my other 360 games are collecting dust.

What's another $50-$60? Honestly if someone told me this one was going to cost $100 I'd still consider.

L4D2 is going to be one hell of a game.

Did you play VS online? It's a completely different game every time you play it. After the first week of play I didn't know if I was going to like it... but after a couple weeks I was hooked. I love pissing people off w/ the Boomer by sneaking in barfing and running my fat ass off to get away and do it again 30 sec. later!

L4D2 is going to be one hell of a game.

Agreed. Those of us long time versus players really don't have much of a choice and can't wait too long to buy it. All the regulars will have it quite quick, and if you wait too long you'll be out of step with regard to learning the maps and best strike points, which can be annoying to a seasoned team.
