hi there,

to cut a long story short becuase i dont think i am aloud to specify detail due to the nature of my work:

if a police officer accuses you of commiting a crime, in my case theft at work without any evidence AT ALL to suggest it was me, apart form the fact that out of 2 people she feels that the other person is most likely telling the truth becuase they are in a senior position is that slander?

i was patronised and treated like a little child and a big deal made out of it to think that it was me that did the crime without A N Y evidence AT ALL to suggest so (i have no criminal record, bad vibes around me etc etc).

am i entitled to sue, or ask for an apology?

your laws may me different from ours in US

but it's not right, maybe you can try to find a new job. then try and take some action

Who do you want to sue? What do you want to sue for?

Sounds like to me you justifiably got your feelings hurt, but that doesn't justify filing suit. If your work place doesn't appreciate you go somewhere else or transfer to a new area.

You won't get anything out of the police as they were just doing there job. You might build a case against your employer. I doubt it though.

I say, steal something to get even. You are already suffering the guilt, may as well make it worth while.

a think a police officer is allowed to accuse you of a crime. Thats why there is a judicial system as your are innocent until proven guilty.
