A couple more to add to my previous list:

Calamus (Acorus Gramineus): A mild but interesting effect. Mind stimulation without body stimulation. The quality matters with this stuff.

Blue Lotus: A mild sedative effect. Seems to work best steeped in wine.

San Pedro cactus contains mescaline. Just don't boil it down to make tea for it hallucinogenic effects. Then it becomes illegal. ;-)

Found a couple of spice sites: http://www.spicesale.us and http://www.spiceworld420.com (both turned out to be scams or are taking forever to get to me...I recommend you stay away from these, try swankherb.com instead.

I ordered some diamond spirit, tropical synergy, and arctic synergy. They averaged around $16/gram with shipping, which is fairly expensive...but I've been wanting to try these for a while now. I hope they're decent.

Spice Gold and Pep Spice WORK. They contain an increasingly illegal artificial synthetic version of THC. Also, Smoke XXX works as well.

I've tried them all and vastly prefer MJ, but spice gold is a good option if you need to stay off the real deal for a bit.

Hmmm....

Well seems most folks in here are only interested in these smoking blends. I will admit I'm curious about these blends, but 420 is very easy to come by in Denver and pretty much decriminalized.

Your reasons for wanting a potent smoking blend makes complete sense...but you should really look into some of the herbs and plants I mentioned. Many of them are surprisingly potent and useful.

I'd be leery of using weed substitutes too much. Cannabis has been tested to death over the the years, so you pretty much know what you're getting. The other substances, not so much....

That may be true of some of the 'spice' blends and what not...the legal plants and herbs that I mentioned have all been used by humans for centuries. Some are more tested and tried than others, but there is a decent amount of information available.

This makes me much less interested in trying a 'spice' blend. Another thing you may want to consider if you are looking to pass a drug test...a chemical that is structurally similar to THC could give you a positive result. I have heard of such things.

I just wanted to report back on spice. Ladies and gentlemen...it is official...this is a legal substitute for cannabis. I would say the experience is 95% similar. It works amazingly well! Spice Arctic Synergy and Spice Diamond Spirit are really good.
