Only the unemployed pot heads, of which the majority of clientele will be. That or on Obamas sugar tits, gettin' stoned instead of looking for a job.

Pot smokers are day dreamers. The nictoene addicts that need a daily fix several times a day can go back to work after smoking. Pot heads will come in dazed and confused off in la-la land.

Once this legalization wave sweeps the rest of the country, you will be wondering if the person on the phone you are talking to at your favorite bank, mortgage company, doctors office, insurance co, coworks are stoned when you are talking to them.

How to tell if you are on the phone with pot head:

1) If they things like "DUH, I DUNNO"

2) If they do not quickly and effeciently answer your questions. Since they are off in la-la land, and THC clouds the thinking centers they cant process information as fast as they otherwise could. Expect long delays between answers.

3) If they give non-sensical answers to your questions just to make it sound as if they are providing information but in fact are just saying nothing, you are talking to a pothead.

4) If you hear a cigarette lighter going off, a brief pause followed by an "ahhhhh".......you are talking to a stoner.

If any of the above happens, get the guys/girls name and hang up the phone. Then call back and report their ass! :ninja:

lol, thanks Kat, I needed a good laugh today.

Do you know of any studies that have been done on this? I found some but they are from the Surgeon General AKA "the government" and I'm sure you would just brush those reports off as saying the government will be one sided.

I'd be interested to see any studies, from any source, that claim marijuana is as addictive as nicotine.

I did not say that I just pointing out what is going to happen. Do you not think people will smoke MJ just as much as they smoke cigarettes?

They won't actually IMO.

Precisely. They won't.

Will a few people? Sure. Just like a few people smoke 5 packs a day of cigarettes, and drink a fifth of liquor or a case of beer every day.

Abusers as the norm, they are not.

For the average citizen, you will not see people on smoke breaks toking up with MJ. Most employers, I reckon, will keep it banned from the workplace. And most smokers won't see any possible issue with this. Why? Because, unlike nicotine, it's not something that the body physically craves for the speed effect every moment of the day.

A daily MJ smoker can easily go the workshift without feeling one craving to light up. May they sit there and think "damn, work sucks. I'd love a toke right now" ? Possibly, just like many of us would love a beer or two at work, just to take an edge off. Does it impact an individual's performance by refraining from MJ or alcohol for an 8 hour shift? Not at all.

Stop comparing it to tobacco. It seems you wish to compare them simply because they are both smoked. Method of consumption does not make them the same.

A single joint (unless a pinner, but sometimes even then), especially of commonly available marijuana available today, is enough to send most users into a complete stoned phase for awhile.

Just because the stuff is stronger today, with better strains available, doesn't mean everyone will find themselves smoking the same amount of material and being sent into couch-lock mode. Most people who smoke marijuana regulate based on perceived effects, not amount to be consumed. If it's brick shag, they'll have to smoke more to reach whatever their desired state of mind is. If it's a premium strain, they might only take a toke or two and refrain from more.

The abuser does not set the standards. Remember that. Most MJ smokers who want to continue to get some kind of work or chores done, will realize they can't get completely stoned. They'll self-regulate. We all do it with alcohol, why is it such a difficult concept to understand with marijuana? If we know we have to drive, the majority of us limit how much we drink. If we know we have to get some work done at home, we don't get drunk (though we may enjoy a drink or two).

Don't let the stereotype images cloud your mind. That merely speaks of a strong ignorance of the reality. Most people who smoke, you probably do NOT know they do. You probably don't know how many people have had just a little bit and then had a conversation with you or interacted with you.
The ones who are most obvious, the ones who reek of it, the ones who seem so dazed and out of it, they aren't the norm. They are more obvious than the drunks, and the drunks are self-limiting in public due to already having had licenses revoked or simply sticking to the home.

What is this supposed to mean? It makes no sense. Are you high right now? I guess you must be, by your own logic.

That was a test to expose the non-stoners. You found the missing word after 30 mins of studying it.

You passed! I *guess* your head is not congested with THC.

No way is it addictive like nicotine. I quit cigs but I use an electronic cig with lower nicotine each month. Nicotine is as addictive as pretty much heroin.

Those who will abuse it will be the same ones that have abused anything else. Will there be people once it's legal , that will abuse it ? Sure there can be but it's all about self control really. If you know you have a good job and.it's not acceptable you don't do it. How hard is that ?

Marijuana is not addictive, no matter how much psychotic DEA pushing feds & actors pay Dr Drew to say it is. Nicotine, on the other hand, took me almost 2 decades to quit.

I'm getting kinda tired of keeping this to myself.

I smoke every night and have for years after my days responsibilities are done. I have a great job, wife and kid and a nice house and most toys I want. Nobody even suspects "my use", like I have to say its a bad thing.

I think some are brainwashed here and in general. I have at least 6-7 direct co-workers who also consume daily/weekly and all are excelling with work, most being engineers with University educations. I sometimes will go a week or more without and I'm totally fine besides missing it. I wake up feeling great everyday. If those are withdrawl effects, than so be it.

I do normal things on weekends with it sometimes... Mow lawn, watch the game, work on the car, go swimming, etc. My wife is fine with it as it improves my general mood most of the time.

I think people are crazy to think it's more dangerous than alcohol because its not even close in my opinion. It doesn't even react to prescription drugs! When is the last time you heard of somebody smoking a bowl and beating his wife and kids? Doesn't happen. Those people are watching SNL and eating Doritos and enjoying there night. The amount of misguided information that's been shoved down our throats for years is getting annoying.

I'd also like to note in 8 years or so I've never once thought, "hey, lets go try some cocaine".... I know better.

Aside from all of that, it doesn't matter. If weed made you worthless, it's your god given right to be worthless. Somehow "contributing to society" became mandated, and it's bullshit. The only responsibility people have is to stay out of the way. They can contribute, or not, and it isn't government's job to mandate contribution, or "punish" things they think affect contribution.

THC stays in your system longer. So I imagine this would have some sort of impact of safety sensitive jobs... bus driver, pilot, etc.

You realize that being high is a 2-6 hour thing and not a 2-14 day thing right? Lol

Smoke, pass out, wake up, and continue on with life.

On the contrary, government is fighting against nature's punishment for not contributing. That's known as "starvation."

You only think that because your devil drug has your brain in a fog unable to comprehend the real world around you.

In reality you're a bum living in a box and your "coworkers" are also bums.

Also: Jesus hates you and you're going to hell.

How many times have you watched Cops and someone beat their wife after hitting a bong?

Your view of the world is skewed by relig-nut bullshit. And assuming anyone who defends legalization is a user is ignorant.

Legalization of MJ is a conservative issue just as much as it is a liberal-hippie-stoner issue. From the conservative side, our government does not have the money to pay to arrest non-violent personal users, take them to court, house them, feed them, pay the guards who watch them, pay the guard's pensions, etc.

The self-rightous republican "legitimate rape" assholes are officially going the way of the dodo thanks to idiots like you. The party will be taken back by fiscally-conservative, "hands off my body and personal life" quazi-libertarian Republicans and Independents.

Grow up. Learn why it is illegal in the first place. Something tells me you have at least 1 member in your family that is on a much worse substance than marijuana, yet you think it is OK because some idiot in a lab-coat prescribed it for them, or some liquor-store owner gladly fed their addiction. But that is OK, because some asshole in Washington decided that it was not Schedule I.

I've never tried a single illegal drug, and I drink very rarely, but I agree with you. It's tragic to see so many people incarcerated with careers and lives ruined over recreational drug use. We can no longer afford it as a society.

You might be better off if you stated your position with fewer insults though. Your style of debate offends and alienates the very people whose support you need to get things changed.

There is no legal pot. Its still illegal under federal law.

Ya, but the federal government can kindly go fuck itself.

On the contrary, government is fighting against nature's punishment for not contributing. That's known as "starvation."

I think pot would solve the issue of people not contributing, if everyone was stoned then everyone would be buying food.
