How about that I dont want my tax money being spent chasing, convicting and incarcerating people who aren't doing any harm?

Holy fvck, this.

People who want to do drugs are going to do it regardless of the legality. I'm tired of funding the ridiculously expensive criminalization of it. Kill all your brain cells, I don't care. I'm tired of paying cops to put drug users in jail, and then they can't even find a job when they get out so we have to support them indefinitely.

P.S. I've never even tried drugs. Not once. And I drink very little. I don't care what other people put in their own bodies so long as they are adults and can still function, work, be self-supporting and are otherwise law-abiding.

It will be 20 years before the government legalizes it completely. No less than that.

I think that depends on how quickly the states move to legalize. We have 4 now that voted to allow adults to smoke and in 2016 there will be more.

Well it certainly wont be in the next 8 years as the Republicans will be in charge of all three branches by 2017. In fact, I don't think it will ever be legal in states where people don't want more drug users running around all over the place, regardless of what the Fed does.

Even though alcohol has been legal again for 80+ years, in certain parts of Texas you CAN NOT legally purchase it. Those are called "dry" counties. I'd imagine if we ever get zany enough to let people get stoned willy-nilly, we will still have zones where it will always be illegal.

It's funny how a lot of you here have given such elaborate arguments for making marijuana legal, when it's clear you're all just a bunch of potheads who want to get high legally.

How are those things mutually exclusive? Potheads can want to get high legally AND have good arguments to do so. Recreational pot hiding behind the veil of utility and medical use is so 1990's. Now the argument is about minimizing the harm of the drug war.

That will depend on voter turnout. repubs do better with lower turnout and dems do better with higher turnout.

as far as alcohol in texas, it isn't even by county, Haltom City is dry and Fort Worth is wet, both are in tarrant county.

No, that is a flat-out lie. There's no reason whatsoever to have an interest in legalizing weed if you don't smoke it.
WTFBBQ! OHI2U2! WWYBUWB? RBM? 2nd account?

I shall response to you with Doris Day songs.

Once I had a secret love
That lived within the heart of me
All too soon my secret love
Became impatient to be free

So I told a friendly star
The way that dreamers often do
Just how wonderful you are
And why I'm so in love with you

Now I shout it from the highest hills
Even told the golden daffodils
At last my heart's an open door
And my secret love is no secret anymore.

Pro-legalization = being a pothead

New user, low hit count, delusional perspective on marijuana.

Yep, troll account.

Hey uingiknoaa09sdf...

did you know water is wet?

How about that the moon is not a planet?

Do you think babies are delivered by storks?

For someone to say what you are saying, you must either be remarkably ignorant of the harms caused by the war on drugs, or know about it, and not care.

You're either ignorant or a sociopath.

I just don't understand it at all. What is the harm these people suffered that makes them hate pot so much? Did transient murder hippies rape their mother and kill their father?

I smoked last night and it really helped me sleep, and the pain in my arm is under control. Why does that bother people?

You are wrong. I do not smoke at all, yet I find the wasting of resources on policing something like weed to be ridiculous. Should totally be legal. In fact I think most drugs should be legal yet I do not consume any, aside from Advil, Alcohol, and Caffeine (sometimes all at the same time!).

Not sure why I am responding to a troll, though of course the thread was started by a troll... :hmm:

Here in Ohio, they are trying to make a legal monopoly, by giving only so many growers the right to grow pot. They argue these people are putting up millions to get the needed signatures and advertise so the law can be passed. On the flip side, another group is trying to get the law passed without giving away a monopoly.

As for prices; $24 a gram seems steep. If you are going to price pot more than you can buy it on the street, of course people are going to buy on the street.

When I first started hearing about legalization of pot, I was under the assumption it would be far cheaper. Something like cigs, where you could buy a pack of joints for $10. The reasoning of stopping the harsh war on drugs (ie war on winning elections) to keep nonviolent users out of jail is good reasoning; making it so expensive you have to go rob someone to pay for it isn't.

Back off on using 'smoke' in your dialogue and make every effort to frame the intake aspect as harmless as possible.

Saying 'used' or 'took' in place of smoke makes the statement of use much less 'dirty' sounding.

Yeah. I'm going to pick up some edibles today I'll take pics. Way better for you.

The problem with edibles is it costs 3-5x as much to get the same effect, and on top of that a lot of it depends on your metabolism. They use hash oil instead of butter in the Cheeba chews and they work so much better, kick in within 30 minutes and last a uniform 5 hours. But Cheeba chews are like the most expensive edibles you can buy.

Who the heck knows. I look at those kinds of people the same way I look at a religious cult.

Just your run-of-the-mill self-righteous dipshits. The world's full of them. At least ours, for what it's worth, try to use the law and don't kidnap people and behead them for jesus. That's something.

Fuck, I'm pretty sure my rig cost less than 1 of your graphics cards.

I also got a half gram of Caviar Gold CBD crumble. 30.4% THCa 41.2% CBD 6.3% CBN
This is for pain relief, and is really all I need. But I had to try the #3 High Times 2014 (the weed). It looks pretty good :/
That looks really good, and the high CBD content would be great for my migraines. I make do with what I can get over here on the wrong coast.

I don't smoke canabis but I have no problem with people that do on their own time in their own homes.

The only issue I ever had was there wasn't/isn't (as far as i know) a reliable method for testing if someone had smoked it recently or it was in their system from prior use and I don't agree people should be able to drive or work whilst under its effects in the exact same way as alcohol.

They can test your blood for it, and see if it's in your system. Issue is, medical patients take so much they always have enough to be thrown in jail for a BS DUI. So I think they need to institute a hair + blood test. A hair test would prove whether or not the person was really smoking all the time, or just occasionally.

Or we could institute some kind of "DUI lite" for weed. Idk I'm just brainstorming here.

Edit: I have actually heard of medical patients getting rolled like this. The best way to defend against it is to keep every bag/bottle and receipt. I have heard that if you can show that you were consistently buying MMJ and keeping the bottles, you probably smoked it, and that is reasonable doubt.

I'm having a debate in my mind about how much of the $150 or so I budget today is going towards concentrates or edibles. There is this place called "weedland" in Lomita (or willmington I forget, point is the ghetto) that is all about concentrates. They can't advertise like other places and their location changes randomly every few weeks but they are the place to hit up and I've never been.

That stuff (the CBD crumble) is dewaxed and winterized, it's the consistency of very light chalk. It's good, but I can do better in appearance. I'll take pics.
