Legalization of ALL Drugs

The Government has no right to make any drugs illegal. The affects on society don't matter.

In the end, that's too true. However, the gun does not impair your judgements or abilities. The gun is much the like the car, being controlled by the person using it, however poorly.

I considered myself a Liberatrian until I heard Harry Browne tell Bill O'Reilly he was for complete and unregulated legalization of drugs. This would make cocaine and heroin OTC, and kids could by them. Libertarians are nut-jobs when it comes to the drug question.

If even ONE child could get drugs I'm against it.

Kids can already get them. Also I need to add, if Browne was speaking in regard to a federal stance on drug policy, I agree with him 100%. The states could then regulate it any way they see fit.

I think the point trying to be made here, both are the result of drugs. Everything is a tradeoff, legalizing isn't the perfect solution, but neither is banning them. You have to take the least imperfect, which IMHO, is legalization/decriminalization.

Stop them? Probably not entirely. But it will give them a lot less to fight over, and leave them without their biggest revenue source to buy guns with.

Take it from a guy who had a cocaine problem way back in high school. It was FAR easier to score blow and pot than a 12 pack.

I have never meet a person who said their primary, or even secondary reason for not using drugs was the illegality of them. The main reason: It ruins your life.

Just like I've never met a person who said they never smoked cigarettes because they're too expensive.

The key to curbing drug abuse is education. The more people understand that drug use will ruin your life, the more they stay away from drugs.
