Link is the greatest video game character, ever. I'm so ready for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on DS. I think I'm buying Wii just so I can play Zelda, same reason why I bought DSL.

there is nothing wrong with the GC version...i think its artistically beautiful. I have only played about 2.5 hours into it because I played at a friend's place, but I don't see what you guys are complaining about because the gameplay is still top notch.

It's still a great game the story is just as good as with the other games. The only difference is that it migrates towards the earlier games in that you have to collect Triforce shards.

Basing a game off of the way it looks is premature, IMHO.

Agreed. Gameplay > graphics. While the people behind Zelda gave it a new skin for the GC version, it's still an awesome Zelda game underneath.

I hated Majora's Mask. LTTP was the best, but Ocarina was close, though they're very different.

My first Zelda was Ocarina of Time, and I tried to get into the previous ones before that, but just couldn't. I was spoiled by OoT's immense 3D World. As for Majora's Mask, I never beat it, but I did like it. The only thing I didn't like about the GC version was probably the crazy amount of sailing.

I agree about Majora's Mask. I really didn't care for that one. Ocarina of Time has to be my favorite. The only reason I purchased the GC was to play Wind Waker. I did purchase other titles for the GC after the fact.

I'm looking forward to Phantom Hourglass. Still up in the air if I am going to pick up a Wii.

I loved every Zelda game made except Majora's Mask. For some odd reason I just didn't enjoy that game. Well, I know why I didn't enjoy it. The stupid clock system pissed me off.

Wind Waker was very well done IMHO. The only part I didn't like was the fetch quests for the shards of Triforce. Its no Ocarina Of Time but very enjoyable. Besides, I doubt I will ever be able to play a game that I enjoyed as much as Ocarina Of Time.

I'm a little worried about the touch controls in Phantom Hourglass. I will be getting it, but I hope it doesn't dissapoint. When is this game due to come out anyway?

Was I the only person disappointed by the Ocarina of Time?

It was incredibly fun while it lasted, but man that game was TOO SHORT. (and easy)

edit: i love link to the past. it is my mostest favoritest video game of all time. LOVE LTTP.

I thought wind waker was great. People always complain about having to sail around, but I don't see how that is much different from having to run across hyrule field. After the third temple you can get the warp thing and don't need to sail as much. I like the art style in it, the night sky is very detailed, the moon goes through phases, it's a big world with lots of places, and a good story. I'm going to play through it again to get pumped for twilight princess.

I never beat majora's mask, I liked what I played of it, but the clock thing was too much for me, I stopped at the 2nd temple.

The Zelda series kicks ass...

SO much so, that I feel privileged that my first-ever gaming experience as a six-year old kid was that brand new NES and the original Zelda game, fresh off the presses, under my Xmas tree that year. (83 or 84? I forget... I'm old) I pity the kids today whose first foray into video games involves the standard run-of-the-mill, nothing-new, garbage. I think anyone around my age, had the best experience with Zelda that can be had.

Nintendo recently held a 10 hour Twilight Princess gameplay marathon for some of the popular game review sites. Every review I've read so far said it's basically looking like one of the best games ever. As expected of course. Can't wait for the 19th.
