Hi fellas'!
I figure I'd post this here and get help from the pros.
My mother had this laptop out of the patio and my little nephew, allegedly, splashed quite a bit of water on the screen only but not, as my mother described, on the rest of the unit, keyboard, etc. My guess is, as I wasnt there to see it, that water had to have splashed all over but cant say for sure.
The laptop is basically behaving as shown in the video posted in the link below (I made a little webpage with same description and a short video of the laptop being on, showing the behavior in question), the second I turn the laptop on. This behavior continues, indefinitely or until I do a hard shut down by pressing the power button and waiting a few seconds until the unit shuts down completely.
Link to the video: http://www.arcomtech.net/laptopissue/Laptop.html
No other other sounds or anything else can be heard/observed. The laptop otherwise, when plugged into an external flat screen monitor via the available VGA connection, outputs just fine (video displays fine).
My question -- is this a display panel issue only or anyone thinks that it might be a more complicated fix, involving the circuity board(s)?
I thank you all for your anticipated advice/ideas/thoughts!
