You can get 10% back from live.com too. Makes this quite a nice deal.

I dont understand why anyone would consider buying one for 3d performance.. I'd probably use it for strictly for txt purposes.

Does this really have an X4500 IGP? I've read in some places that it's got a GMA950, but I can't imagine Lenovo would get the specs wrong on their own product page.

Yeah I kind of figured it would be GMA950 rather than X4500. I noticed the optical drive thing too but figured it was a USB drive sold as an accessory or something. Asus may have 20+ different models, but at least they're pretty clear on which one has what.
I think I'm leaning more towards the Aspire One then, it's something I'll be typing on a lot so little things like properly placed ctrl, right shift, and number keys are important to me.
Lenovo did take a common sense approach in their design though, I like the fact that it has front facing speakers and a vent that actually blows out to the side, rather than downwards.
But then Asus are the only ones offering decent battery life at this point, the 4 cell in my Eee 900 only lasted for 2 hours 45 minutes with the screen at about half brightness and low volume, so I wouldn't expect much more than 1.5-2 hours out of a netbook with a HD and a 3 cell battery. Since I plan on using mine mainly as a low power desktop replacement, the battery life isn't too big of a deal for me, but if I was looking mainly for portability I wouldn't be considering any of these notebooks.
I also liked the matte finish on my Galaxy Black Eee, I don't understand why manufacturers think it's a good idea to use fingerprint magnet surfaces. Wish I could take a few features from all these models and mix em into one perfect product.
