LOL, I can't believe you compare a ThinkPad to those ultra books.
Ultra light laptop falls apart with less than a year of usage.

Killer deal. I have almost this exact same model of the T410 laptop for work. I think the 9 cell means there will be a little bump coming out the back. These things are a tank, and I actually prefer the T410's screen to the T420's.

I have both T410 with 9 cell and T410s at work. T410 with 9cell is does stick out the back and heavy. but it does last 3-4 hours of work time.
T410s with ultra bay battery lasts a little less but it is significantly lighter.

I don't' know what you do with laptops that make you say ultrabooks are flimsy.. they're fine for what they are.. you want durability? get a toughbook.

Does this notebook use NVidia's stupid scheme to switch between internal graphics and GPU or is it straight GPU?

Doesnt say its the optimus graphics model so it should just be a straight nVidia. I have the optimus model, you can go into the bios and tell it to only use the onboard intel video or to use the discrete nvidia gpu, or the optimus (switches back and forth).

The T410 is not a tank. Nothing compared to the old T60s. The T410 is built like any other laptop today. I absolutely hate the touchpad they put on the newer Thinkpads.

I had one at work and switched to a X220.

I had one at work and switched to a X220.

I would have to say the build quality on the T410 is a bit better than most lappys, but not nearly as good as the older T60.
