Some of the Thinkpad X220s come with IPS displays, if it is an option I suggest taking it. They are so much better than the TN displays on the vast majority of Thinkpad's competitors.

Yup, would definitely recommend upgrading to the IPS panel (I think it's called the Premium HD display when you configure). Think it was only like $50 extra last time I checked, well worth it.

Really good ultraportable and for a good price as well with that coupon code. And as mentioned there are other discounts that should be able to stack with the coupon, such as lenovo.com/visa and lenovo.com/student.

Looks like through the Visa link it's $751.61 for the base X220, so you can upgrade to the IPS panel and still only pay about $800 (the option is $45 extra, not $50).

I love that marketing. Thickness is listed as .74"-1.36" See in the picture above how much of the laptop is .74" thick. Sigh.
