Ok my < 2yr old T61p dimm has decided to go out.. I know this as i have two dimm, remove both, install one.. run memtest86+ pass, replace one with other, run test, errors instantly.
So i have been though lenovo/IBM for other repairs on other laptops, but i am wondering for something like a bad DIMM would they just get me to send them the dimm instead of the whole laptop and they send me a new one back?
Seeing how these dimm's cost $25 dollars on newegg it might be easier (and faster) just to order a new than to go through the trouble if i have to sent the whole laptop back. ANd seeing how RAM upgrades do not break the warranty, i personally don't see a problem this this (have not called them up yet).
So anyone deal with this?
