I have one of these with the same configuration and an I5 cpu instead, it's a great laptop. Battery life isn't stellar, but for what's basically a desktop replacement it's fantastic.

I've got the older version with i5 and 650M SLI, no serious issues to report.
What SLI issues are there? You do need to go in software and turn it on/off.

Search " GT 750M SLI Stuttering " in google and there are forums that talk about the Y510P as well. Lenovo puts these things on sale for a reason, they are also priced lower vs other gaming laptops again for a reason.
The issue is nothing new and Lenovo has made little to no effort to correct it. There is no special fix for it or special units that does not suffer this problem. I wouldn't touch a laptop with SLI graphics card unless from a reputable gaming laptop brand.
You should try Battlefield 4, see the stuttering LIVE.
