I can guarantee he didn't pay for the reference. And if you haven't listened to Stern lately you are missing out on some really good entertainment. He's the only reason I subscribe to satellite radio. And yes, I do pay for it in both of our cars.

Howard Stern's interviews are amazing and he gets the best guests. He could interview a turnip and make it compelling.

There was an article in the New York Times recently about the evolution of his show. It was very glowing in its praise.

Who said anything about paying for the reference? Not really sure why you're trying to justify paying to listen to him...

I've listened to some of his "amazing" interviews when you've posted them and they weren't especially spectacular. or even noteworthy (although they are better than the absolute shit he used to do where he was just trying to get celebs to say risque, likely often made up, things). Just because most "interviews" are fluff pieces that are just advertising and PR doesn't make his compelling. Interviews in general are shit and have been for a very long time (including the old Playboy ones that...what sad times when people found those that compelling).

Well, it's not really marketed to people like you and I. I rarely watch them either but my wife does and millions of other do too and that's the only reason I heard it.

I like Jimmy Kimmel too. He's a huge Stern fan and personal friend of Howard Stern. He sat in on the Stern Show recently while he was in NY, it was pretty funny and entertaining.

So this doesn't exactly help your case with regards to relevancy. In fact, you saying "he didn't pay for the reference", well gee I hope he didn't have to pay his friend for an offhand reference at the Emmy's...
