Too much proof and not following a EULA its lawsuit time.

Thanks, been hearing about this "Rootkit" thing lately.

Sony should be brought up on charges having their Execs face 120 years prison each and $815,000 fines each as well.

I guess you know a thing or two about installing software without permission, eh?

Guess you don't realize I was hired to configure the machines eh???

Guess you don't realize the machines ran perfectly fine for TWO years until a hot dog with a vendetta came along with a grand scheme for making themself look good with a good ol fashioned Government Withhunt.

Ah, I guess it's OK to install software without permission as long you aren't an eeeval corporation and as long as the machines run "fine".

Is this software somehow crippling performance?

Edit: Maybe we should give Sony the option of turning the client off and let them go.

Ya know Zandari, Dave does not need anyone defending him but since you are relatively new to this forum I would like to say back off. He payed his dues and does not need another child with chip on his shoulders blasting him for something in that past he has already payed for.

I'm asking you nicely, not that I have to, can you please stop acting so childish?

Thanks

Sony engineers are paid to design software. If their software doesn't cause the machines to run abnormally, according to you it is okay. Your never ending hypocracy amuses me.

Sony, having committed what looks to be a similar act, could possibly be punished with a similar sentence.

Another good reason to stop giving Sony one's money. Their ethics are obviously thin; their expensive products are overrated, just coasting on their long-past glory days; and they've been in the forefront of incompatible proprietary standards and anti-consumer DRM technologies. Vote with your pocketbook; I do.

Sony is a person now and are only subject to the same laws and regulations as individuals?

I call for BAN. Dave has done his time for this already. Personal attacks like this should not be in the forums.

Yes, I was the one that brought it up but the double teaming by Zen and Dirt is uncalled for.

Well, according to you, Sony is an evil rich greedy Republican corporation and deserves to be punished. So much for equal protection under the laws.

Hope you aren't a fan of the Playstation.

Hmmm, I didn't mention the word Republican on this, maybe you know something we don't perhaps?

No, in fact I am not a fan of the Playstation.

I support a more "open" platform such as the PC, what a concept.

Oh yea, drag me into it. I pointed out your hypocracy. I did not start the personal attacks nor do I condone it. If you're going to call for extreme punishments against other people for something you did that was similar, then you should expect people to point that out that you did the same thing and were saying you're innocent. The same is true for your hatred against SUV drivers. If you think they are evil and are going to condone them with every post, you should expect people to comment about the fact that you don't drive the most efficient vehicle possible. You're a hypocrite and that's what people should know.

Then again you can see past your own self righteousness to realize that.

Can you point out where the personal attacks are in this statement:
Sony engineers are paid to design software. If their software doesn't cause the machines to run abnormally, according to you it is okay. Your never ending hypocracy amuses me.

That's what I thought. PWNED again.
