I'm not any religion, but Deist and Gnostic might be the best terms to describe my beliefs.

I simply believe each person's spirituality is their own responsibility to explore and belonging to "groups" and "cults" can only hinder your ability to discover your own beliefs.

Agnostic

I was an atheist until I realized that atheism is a logically untenable position. I can no more prove a god or gods do not exist than a theist can prove they do.

Therefore I am agnostic, I do not know and therefore have no positive, or negative belief on the subject.

I don't care enough to be agnostic.

That's the definition of agnostic. You don't know. Caring has nothing to do with it. You can not know and care, or not know and don't care. Either way, you're agnostic.

You don't need to believe that god's non-existence is a certainty nor even ascertainable in order to be an atheist. If you have no positive belief in the existence of a god, you are by definition an atheist.

I was afraid of that. If that is the case, then I move to make 'apathetic agnostism' a denomination, so I can specifically not care AND not know.

Edit... just to make it clear.

isn't "no positive belief in the existence of a god" very similar to faith that god does exist? using the word belief seems a lot like faith. or anti-faith in this case

1. Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods.
2. The doctrine that there is no God or gods.

The problem is, in western culture, Atheism is always associated with a denial of a god or gods.

Why not just avoid that confusion and use a more accurate term to describe your lack of beliefs?

1.) Denial of a god's existence |= affirmation of a god's non-existence

2.) Agnosticism doesn't describe a lack of beliefs. It describes one's attitudes about his beliefs, to wit: whether he feels his beliefs to be properly justified as knowledge or not. That's why gnosis is the word's root.

In other words, it is the casual and popular usage that you have employed which is inaccurate. Any person that lacks belief in god is not a theist, and is therefore an atheist.

If I had to chose most likely Agnostic. I don't really follow any particular religion. I just kinda take the best ideals from all of them and throw them together.

i mean, why does belief come into the picture? if there is no god, it has nothing to do with what you believe

if you have to not believe in God for him to not exist , it sounds like you have faith that he doesn't exist and i thought the whole thing about athiest is that they don't have to believe or not believe , there just isn't any god

i don't think i am explaining myself very well, but it just sounds like you are being contradicting by saying "no positive belief in the existence of a god". if there is no god then you don't need to not believe

nevermind if i am not communicating clearly

Yeah, I'm sorry but I don't understand the point you're trying to make.
