Other than the ability to have many more months running, kayaking, talking walks, mountain biking, rappelling, etc. outdoors after work. I can't wait for politicians to end DST and let me sit on the couch more. That is especially true when it is cold and rainy on the weekends--nothing beats weeks on end of sitting.with zero positive attributes.
Gives a full extra hour of light after work to actually have fun and be physical outside. I'm not sure why physics need to be altered for that.I don't know what you think the time change does then. Physics aren't altered due to the whims of politicians.
I'd be glad if you helped with the petition. Years of trying hasn't worked yet for me. You'd have to double up--my wife's work also doesn't allow flexible hours.Start work earlier. You can petition your company to change the hours to whatever arbitrary time you like. Seasonal hours are thing, and nothing requires any specific hour.
Why? Everything is fine with DST. Why would I change jobs? Seems like you are the one with the problem of something unspecified. Is it lack of ability to do things in warm sunny evenings in March? Is it that you prefer kayaking for a few minutes in cold March mornings instead (cut short since you need to now shower before work, plus drive from the lake to home in that precious morning light)?Clocks are supposed to be synced with the sun, and when they aren't, things get fucked up as demonstrated in the link I helpfully provided. If your company doesn't want to change business hours, maybe it isn't such a good idea, and you should just deal with the sun as-provided, or find a different job that doesn't keep you locked in a box all day.
I'm all for that, but lets make it daylight saving time.I don't care which one we choose, just pick one and go with it.
The sun peaks (called the "solar noon") after noon in most locations. It peaks well after 1 PM in many locations. We actually need to move almost 2 hours to be closer to noon, some places 3 hours.I think synchronizing noon with the sun's peak makes the most logical sense.
I'm glad that daylight savings time is working out so well for both of us then.I have enough time to do everything I want(and more) regardless of season.
Fuck that...sleep in later. Instead of getting up around 8-8:30, I'll get up around 9-9:30...at least for a couple of weeks.Wake up earlier.
