For starters,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_McVeigh

To these people in Oklahoma who have lost a loved one, I'm sorry but it happens every day. You're not the first mother to lose a kid, or the first grandparent to lose a grandson or a granddaughter. It happens every day, somewhere in the world. I'm not going to go into that courtroom, curl into a fetal ball and cry just because the victims want me to do that.

- Tim McVeigh.

That's right, Tim McVeigh is making the argument that in the big scope of things, killing 168 people in OK City is no big deal. In that year it was probably a fraction of all deaths by car accidents and drowning in swimming pools, so why is everyone so outraged?

The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control.[24]

Wayne LaPierre or Tim McVeigh?

Dec 27,2012: 54% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the NRA.

Now let us draw parallels between the NRA and Timothy McVeigh.

Karmy, if you have to go full retard to get your point across it's a clue:your point is wrong.

1)"Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight ... Is a Civil War Imminent? Do we have to shed blood to reform the current system? I hope it doesn't come to that. But it might."

Gee, he would be right at home here.

Why do crazy lefties always get a pass around here?

I'm actually not that leftist believe it or not. I'm just mocking you guys. It is offensive reading about how you guys want to sell AR15's in Walmart parking lots and think that it's like freedom.

So you really don't see the difference between.

(1) Banning guns because someone might misuse them

and

(2) Executing a criminal who actually killed 168 people

That was fun...now let's double down on abject idiocity by drawing parallels between karmypolitics and Adolph Hitler.

the semiauto-auto ban gives jack-booted government thugs more power to take away our constitutional rights, break in our doors, seize our guns, destroy our property, and even injure or kill us

Tim McVeigh or the NRA?

Banning guns that HAVE been used to massacre innocents and appears to be the weapon of choice, you mean?

Basically, I'm pointing out that you guys share the same mentality as McVeigh.

Karmy... I'm not going to play ball with you... So just like with Charles yesterday, why don't you ask the mods to close your thread and take your ball and go home?

Isn't there a rule against creating a thread for intentional trolling?

The state of Connecticut has, on average, 37 abortions every single day.

Newtown doesn't even scratch the surface of a sea of dead children.

More people die each year from drunk driving accidents than US soldiers killed in 10 years in Iraq.

All those dead soldiers' (who signed up for the military) families got nothing on the families who have lost innocent lives (who did nothing but go get a bottle of milk for their baby).

Tim McVeigh said it better:

McVeigh was talking about mass murder that he actually perpetrated. The statement of fact that assault rifles are involved in a very small percentage of gun murders has nothing to do with this. You are a single minded hack that will go to any lengths, such as comparing apples to assault rifles, to support your flimsy position. Attempting to compare McVeigh to the NRA or its members is despicable.

karmypolitics

I suggest you drive the point home. Show the country that we need gun control. Get yourself an assault rifle, go to your state capital and start shooting. Be sure to write a letter beforehand, explaining that you're sorry, but that you're a Democrat and believe that gun control is important and that you're willing to do whatever it takes to wake people up.

He's using the same basic argument: in the big scheme of things, their deaths are insignificant compared to death across society as a whole.
