A controversial fundraising committee run by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was slapped with a $21,000 fine by the Federal Election Commission for enabling Pelosi to funnel more than $100,000 in illegal contributions to Democratic candidates in late 2002 as she was vying to become Democratic leader.

I think not.

The feverish attempts to demonize Tom DeLay are nothing new. In the months leading up to the 2000 election, the Democrats filed a bogus racketeering lawsuit against him, which was ultimately dismissed with prejudice by a federal judge. Last summer, Democrats again attacked Tom DeLay with bogus allegations the House Ethics Committee quickly dismissed (deferring another matter at DeLay's request.) The Democrats have no message and no vision for America. So they attack Republican leaders in a desperate attempt to block progress on the GOP agenda - lower taxes, a modernized Social Security system, constitutionalist judges and a strong military.


Many of the recent news "scoops" that have been running on the front pages of major newspapers are little more than rehashed accusations that have appeared elsewhere. Despite sensational headlines and hyper-inflated allegations, these stories fail utterly to provide evidence of any wrongdoing by Tom DeLay.

Ok, so a Democrat does something illegal and this somehow makes DeLay innocent?

It really doesn't matter if Tom DeLay is guilty or not or whether he is a Rebublican or a Democrat. He's a politician, so, like the rich and the Police, he is above the law. There's no sense in fretting about it because there's nothing you or I can do about it.

Can't you wrap your mind around the fact that at some point charges against Pelose were only alleged?

Do you understand that the process begins with charges alleged and then there is an INVESTIGATION OF THE CHARGES?

At some point charges were alleged against Pelosi. Then there was an investigation. Then proof was determined.

Why do you, and the Republicans who went so far as to change the House ethics rules as well as the head of the House ethics committee, refuse to let the same process take place when the charges are against Tom DeLay???
