Trump was an embarrassment, he's a motivated guy. I predict he'll spend a ton of time doing more standard debate prep. He could even turn it around look at Obama's first debate with Romney it can happen.

That was Obama. This is Trump. Remember how Trump managed to "pull it together" during and shortly after the Repub convention? Then the wheels fell off yet again, when given the room to open up his mouth on Twitter. Donald can't keep his mouth shut. He destroys himself again and again and again every time he is allowed to speak in the public light. This is something that simply can't be controlled because the guy is a raving lunatic.

This isn't something that you can "read" and get the full effect. You have to watch it in and take in the full delivery. He was on the rails for the first 20 minutes. He was stern, pointed and deliberate in his delivery. Then she started poking and prodding and he completely lost his composure and went into petulant, rambling imbecile mode.

I don't disagree. But the last 4 weeks have seen a total erosion of a massive lead that Hillary had. During that time Trump was spouting off lie after rambling lie that filled pages of news feeds. And it didn't cost him a single point in the polls. It's not about facts in this election. It's coming down to personalities and who's a worse person than the other - facts and policies be damned. He was the bullying brawler that everyone expected in the first 20 minutes or so and that's what got him where he was. Then she got under his skin and and he self immolated on the largest national stage he's ever been on. I would love to know what non-English speakers who had to have this debate either translated or subtitled thought. Trying to read transcripts of that have to come across as a rambling loon.

She did a mic drop. She knew she knocked the shit out of him in the last 60 minutes and walked off and let the talking heads run with the rest. He's a guy that never shies away from extra camera time and continued on his birther ramblings as he walked through the spin room.

Presidential candidates never meet with reporters after the debates, except Trump in this case. You never saw Obama, Romney, McCain, or anyone else do that.

Reading Reddit it sounds as if there was quite a bit of manipulation with online polls from /The_Donald supporters. I'll hold off over the next few days for real people to provide feedback. The real litmus will be undecided voters and where they end up swinging after last night. I don't know a single person on Facebook or at work that thought it went well with Donald. Even the most vocal Trump supporter I know on facebook posted something to the effect of "Ok, that didn't go very well but think about the supreme court choices and other things that matter in this election!". Basically an admission it didn't go well and appeal to the greater issue here - what this election really means for people. And she's not wrong about that at all.

Trump's biggest problem tonight was his incoherence, particularly down the stretch. It's ironic that he went after Clinton on "stamina." Her stamina is actually amazing. His, not so much.

That's what happens when you have a short script. Trump really did not have much to say. A smarter man in his position could have done a hell of a lot more in the time that was given.

Holy crap. what a goddamn idiot. The best part about that was when Hillary stared him dead in the eyes when delivering the name and the comments he made. That thousand-yard stare. There are some key issues where he really can't contain his inner dumbfuck: muslims, his manliness, and women. Just trigger him and he goes ape shit.

I think Hillary missed a lot of golden opportunities to toss his nonsense back at him with real zingers (honestly, she had no real zingers--the only thing these spectacles are about--she really isn't that great to begin with). In particular, when Trump claimed that "NATO switched to terrorism because of me! I told them to start focusing on terror, and so they did! So that's what I did, I'm so great on terror and on NATO!" and Hillary shot back about article 5, how all of NATO came to US aid in 2001 after 9-11 to fight terror....I mean, it is obvious for the literate people, but why didn't she explicitly challenge him on his wonderful forecasting abilities of how NATO had already focused on terror 15 years prior to his claim that he influenced them to do that?

She really needs to start directly taking him to task for these egregious lies that seem to just percolate from his shrunken orange head. I also enjoyed how his defense of his birtherism was that he, and he alone! got Obama to produce the birth certificate! So that's what I did, I got him to provide the birth certificate! We wouldn't have that if I didn't challenge him, so that's a good thing!

Hillary really needs to come out without gloves and beat him down under the weight of his own fabrications. They will have to walk around at the town hall and not hide behind podiums. We'll get to see the rotund Donald try to wheeze his way through that and again fail to maintain composure.

It's interesting how everyone interprets debates so differently.

The only major thing I noticed with Trump was his endless rant about Sean Hannity and not suggesting Iraq invasion.
