The outcome of the debate was as we expected. The "official" interpretation of it is that "Clinton won", but if you look around you can find as much Trump supporters who are convinced that he won.
Everyone is in their own bubble and from that P.o.V. I think everyone actually got confirmed in their own beliefs. The T haters got confirmation that he is a rambling idiot and liar. The T supporters got confirmation that he brought the "real" issues on the table etc..etc..
It was, although somewhat entertaining, a pointless debate.
The only ones which I think would have gotten something new from the debate would be people who maybe NEVER heard about Trump and watch him speak, they would've watched the debate and probably asked themselves what the idiot is doing up there. But then we can speculate there don't exist many of such people if at all.
I read one interesting opinion on CNN, where one of the (few) who thought that "Trump won" said
"being presidential won't help her win the election. She spoke to the intellectuals tuning in; she did not speak to the average American."
I think the woman had a point here. Trump supporters do NOT support him because he appears "presidential". He never did, and he never will be "presidential". It is NOT a criterion in this election, absurdly and sadly. And by being more intellectual and focused (what we say was a clear win for Clinton in the debate), Clinton merely spoke to her supporters while the "average American", the typical Trump supporter just got more confirmation (bias) that Trump is the guy "who gets things done" and Clinton "is just talk", DESPITE it very well being factually incorrect. Clinton needs to get nastier and expose Trump as what he is...respective needs to focus on "minorities" and women to sway them over (which I think she did a good job at), and the women vote may WELL decide this election this time!
